Ian, SL isn't out of reach yet. hopefully his difficult decisions he has to make are for SL tho.

| Unforced errors and ill discipline didn't help on Saturday, but i didn't see anything in wakefield that said we couldn't beat them in a one off game.As for changing the coach, you must be mad.

Am I correct in thinking or being led to think that Ryan Brierley has an agreement in place to go to Salford should we not be promoted to SL ?

I heard he HAS an agreement, but with a different S/L outfit!

| An interesting question would be ''would a top quality experienced first grade NRL coach brought in to help Paul develop further, benefit the club or not?'' Purely talking if we are in these 8's again next season.
PR has created some fantastic memories these past 2 years and if he can take us to the promised land he will be immortalised in the towns folklore

| It would be a benefit to have a 'been there, done it' coach as a member of the staff.

| I don't think you can judge the coach on their ability to take a club up to Super League as everything seems to be weighted against that, whether that be Rowley, Lowes or any other Championship coach. I'm sure it's a developmental process and the coach and players will learn from this first opportunity. The margins have been quite small for Leigh and it's not like it's over yet. Bulls were fortunate to play a part time club before a run of 4 SL clubs and that's the kind of intensity that has to be reached somehow. I still don't know whether the approach by Lowes was right when we seemed to give up on qualification compared to Rowley who seemed to be keen to keep the level of performance up. The Cup run was probably a big factor in any eventual outcome and whilst the profile of the club was raised to that of media darlings that may, with hindsight, have been a problem in terms of other clubs getting a good insight into what makes the team tick. It's a big challenge and I'm sure he is relishing it. A couple of wins and it all looks different.

| Can't believe we would consider getting rid of PR. He has done an excellent job, (with financial backing) in creating something well worth watching, out of virtually nothing. We supporters have been richly entertained these past couple of seasons, and the club, staff and players have progressed hugely. And crowds have increased big time.
Should the team be more circumspect in their approach to games? Well, to a degree, probably. But then how easy would it be to switch back on the style that has produced some breathtaking scores - against SL teams as well as Championship ones? I do think we wouldn't have topped the league on five drives and a kick. Are we being found wanting by the SL teams in the Qualifiers? Yes, slightly, and the coaches/players have to learn from that. There is still time to do that, this season, although there is now no scope for error.
My biggest concern is still the one of indiscipline. It's a fine line between aggression, (absolutely essential, in my view) and indiscipline. Once again, on Saturday, we crossed that line on a number of occasions. How many extra tackles did we gift Trinity as a result of those penalties? How much did that take out of our players, who didn't seem to be capable of creating much in the second half? It's hard enough when our cavalier approach gifts precious possession to our opponents, without piggy-backing them to our line for stupid indiscretions as well!
Good luck to PR and the team, for the rest of this season - and if it doesn't pan out, I'm sure they will all be wiser for 2016.

Surely you aren't accusing me of being Palpatine? If so, could a mod please put him right on that one.

| I genuinely wish all these crazy remarks about a new Coach would stop,we have in Rowls a guy who is ready to Bleed for Leigh ,a talented young lad who not only is English but a Leyther,I've spoke to Paul recently and I've also seen the hurt he feels about the recent results, the same as every other Leyther does, its not just a job to him,it's his life and his passion,to remove and replace him would be Lunacy, let's stop this thinking now.
