They can spend what the like on the marquee player. But that player will only take a certain amount of the salary cap up 100 or 175k dependant on being club trained. What is to stop an aussie star being paid 600k and then hiring another players missus as his cleaner or nanny and paying them 300k. Effectively they can have several marquee players with some creative accounting

I can see a trend developing of a change from, "This is a very good system that could lead to Super League" to "This is a flawed system that stops us getting to Super League"
It is the performances that are flawed not the system. Are Bradford prattling on about a flawed system, are they bollox?

If anyone is suspiciously cheap on the salary cap then it's investigated, and unusual payments to family members by the club or anyone financially associated with it are something that would get you in a lot of trouble. |
