| Quote: JENKY "A very tough game again at the weekend but one Leigh are more than capable of being competitive in.
Salford will be no push overs as they will be outright favourites to win (just as Hull KR was) but equally Leigh are no pushovers so its sits up as an excellent game.
I would imagine we will see a very good following from Leigh so should be a match not to be missed as despite the disappointment of losing a game on 73minutes to Hull KR it has to be said the LSV was rocking again on Saturday so lets take that support on the road again.
See you at Salford.'"
Well said.

I questioned the decision at the time.
Some people on here really need to start reading all posts properly before commenting.

I always read all the posts properly and I certainly don't need any instruction or advice before I comment.

Quote: reffy "[iAll[/i the matches have the potential to be very tough.
And Leigh can handle the pressure. First half on Saturday brought its own pressure but we were class. Second half was a different story but that wasn't about pressure. It was about switching-off and thinking we had the game won by half time. In fact, when we went for the 2 points penalty I was cursing. We'd decided to [iplay safe[/i at that very point (that's not Leigh!!). We had the momentum back at that moment and should have gone for the throat. It was hot, we should have kept the pressure on the Hull KR line, etc etc.
Concentration let us down in that second half on Saturday (same thing happened at Warrington first 20 mins of second half) but concentration is not something we've had to be big on this season. Many a time we've either blown teams off the park first half so matches were effectively over by half time, or our opponents have pushed us close (Halifax, Bradford, Sheffield etc) but they haven't had enough quality to finish us off (London aside obviously).
I've been to Salford this season (free match!!) and I believe we can win there. Our attacking play scares the life out of teams (Hull KR first half didn't know what had hit them). Opponents want to defend boring drives and a kick, they [idon't[/i want to be chasing Leigh around out wide or dealing with Hock and Barlow (even Hopkins, Emmitt, Moimoi and Wilkes!!) offloading to Brierley and McNally through the middle.
We need to continue with how we play, whilst also working on our concentration, which should then help us make better decisions when it really matters.'"
Well if you'd have read the above the other day you'd have noticed that I didn't post in hindsight.
The thing is, Mr Reffy, is that you're too quick to assume, my friend.
If you want to have a sly dig at any of my posts (like you do with a lot of other folk's posts, too, actually), then feel free, but get your facts right first.

| I do agree with what you said Ant about the 2 pointer, although it was the correct decision. What we failed to do was carry the same mentality behind taking the 2 points back to the field of play.
By taking the 2 points we were effectively closing the game off,so should have done the same when we returned to the half way line. As you said the mind set had been created by taking the 2 pointer but we didn't stick to it.

Yeah, most people around me said take the 2, to be fair.
I just remember thinking that it was a good chance to peg Rovers back. To keep the pressure on in front of that magnificent North Stand support. Taking the 2 relieved that pressure on Hull KR.
Ah well.

| If we win at Salford, do you reckon the 'various' Leythers who like 'slagging each other off' on here, might ease up for a few days. but somehow, I doubt it !

Reason why I and others don't bother posting any more, bad combination big egos with very thin skins.

Bit embarrassing for me this one *as I previously posted about big numbers travelling to see Leigh away in the 8's*, I maybe should have curbed my enthusiasm.
Anyway, my point is, as salfordlad says, let's get down to the Council House at Brookhouse in big numbers hopefully, but I just phoned the Club about tickets for the Devils/Reds match & was told there are loads left, which shocked me a little as that away terrace at the ' Lean To' end of the ground is really quite small.
About 8 rows & then a cardboard wall I seem to remember *from when Leigh battered Salford & their Aussies/Kiwis in their 1st match at the ground*
Hope to see plenty of Leigh, Athy, Tyldesley & Lowton lads & lasses on the Salford Riviera on Sunday.
By the way, the French call it Ecc - Les' I believe.

In fairness I think the clubs is also learning with these fixtures and I'm sure we'll have a more structured approach for the remaining games with tickets available earlier with a bigger more public push on sales.
Didn't realise the Salford tickets was actually available until Tuesday and don't live anywhere near Leigh so its pay on the day for me and the family but ideally as a club we need to off load tickets early for all our games in advance as its easy to get out of a habit of attending (especially if its a new fan following us - football season starting and all that).
Still think we'll take a very respectable support to Salford and anyone missing it will miss a cracker.

| Wouldn't the away club have to wait for stadium allocation first? Are the tickets not already on sale for the Wakefield game! I don't know what the consequences of switching to online tickets would cost the club, but as you say the possible damage of not having that in place will cost more.
