| First 20 minutes today we were pretty terrible. 4 errors in our own half, 3 of them unforced. 3 soft penalties too. Gifted Fev so much possession and territory. Yet we were only 10 - 12 down despite playing badly. Soon as we strung some sets together we ran them ragged and scored almost at will.
Forwards smashed Fev all over the park. Paul Wood worked hard and Maitua punched a couple of holes but overall their pack got hammered by our lads today. Dicko, Wilkes, Hoppy, Haggerty and both hookers did a massive amount in defence which left Moi Moi, Hock and Barlow fresh to terrorise them in attack.
We tailed off again in the final 20 and bombed several chance which could have put more of a gloss on it. Should have had 60+ but concentration slipped near the end.
Very good performance, comfortable winners and could/should have been more.
Ref let them play at a slow pace which was frustrating.
Barlow a clear MoM for me with Moi Moi, Brierley and McNally close behind him.
Love smashing Fev!
Easy! Easy! Easy!

| Was pretty disappointed in the Fev support today. Thought they would bring a decent crowd but wasn't really worth opening the South Stand for them. This was half way through the 1st half. They would have brought 3 x that that 3 years ago.

| Can't wait to see the double Sam offload try on LCTV. I also thought that Tom Armstrong played very well today.

Actually no, with the obvious exception of Gareth C0ck, you were remarkably well behaved today. You look like world beaters when you turn up and just play rugby.
Well played today, showed some real class.
Oh and where does Emmit get his engine? The bloke must be well into his 70s and is carrying a few extra pounds round the belly, but the bloke just doesn't stop. Much respect.

Very nearly didn't go myself, I think a lot will have stayed away knowing there was little chance of a result.
Can anyone explain why e-cigs aren't allowed? It was quite funny getting told off by some power crazed geriatric in a high-vis for blowing a bit of water vapour into the open air.

Despite his unusual shape and retro haircut Emmitt is only 26. He was rested on Wednesday and was sat with Andrew Dixon and Jonny Lomax at the Hunslet game. Seems odd that the 3 of them all came through the Saints ranks together. Still only 24/25/26 years old!
Emmitt gets through an unreal amount of work for his size and was offloading really well today which isn't usually a big part of his game. Big minutes too as always. One of our best signings of recent years.

Would like to add that the Fev fans in the Wren before the game turned up in decent numbers and were great fun too. All added to a great atmosphere today so fair play to the ones who did show up

No excuses Homer J, this is a less than poor Fev turnout for a game so important to you, having such a good away record and a new coach on top of having turned over Bradford.
My comment obviously does not apply to you personally but your team deserves much better support than this away from home.

I've been teetotal for a couple of years (got something wrong with my liver, nothing life threatening), so sadly I have to give the pub a miss now, I do miss a bit of pre game revelry

If we were playing anything like a decent brand of rugby this year, there would have been plenty more. Our crowds in general are down quite severely.
The new coach has come too late in the season for it to have any impact on our fortunes and I think Mark knows that, I guess he's planning to be 200 grand light in the budget next year. (Which will probably leave us in a similar financial position to this year, we had to use a fair amount of the RFL money to clear up Feisal's mess).
Factor in the Pontefract Liquorice festival, which the local schools make a big thing of and encourage lots of kids to go and we arrive at probably our worst away following of the year.

lol, Ive seen Leigh Bring less than half the fans we had today to POR for a Grand final Semi. same game 3 years ago would have had less than 1500 there. Very short memories you lot. Amazing what a bit of success can do for you.
fans were never gonnna turn up for a game we had no chance of winning especially after the result against Dewsbury.
It'll be even less next season if we play you after the behaviour of your stewards today. Wouldn't leave the young lads (most dressed as women) at top of stand alone all game. They were constantly hassling them trying to get a reaction. Until a fev fan turned round and started videoing the stewards on his phone and all of a sudden they finally all left. Some blokes stick a high vis on and become fecking hitler.
As for the game, just as I expected close first 20 leigh dominate the middle 40 and then close again for final 20. Some slightly dubious refereeing decisions but nothing game changing.
Were just not good enough, although sharpe would probably had scored 5 tries had he been selected on the wing today instead of backmore, shocking finisher for a winger.

| When we played Fev at Blackpool I said we should have put 40 odd on them. Today we did that with ease. After a very sleepy opening 20 minutes we stepped it up and blew Fev away.
Easy. Well done, boys.
