| Shame Duffy is going, I've always thought he was a good player and did well. Still I suppose we can't have everyone and with some of the Super League quality forwards we now have signed he wasn't going to be getting into the team. Best of luck Ryan Duffy, sure he'll make someone in the Championship a very good prop.

No.
Yes he scored two snd I was actually very pleased for him and for his number one fan, Bartholemew.
However it all boils down to where we are are we heading as a team and a club. He could do a job for the crusaders but with all due respect to them, we are aiming higher over the next couple of years are we not ?
I agree with Matt, there are better front row options open to us. Good luck to Ryan for the future, a nice lad no doubt.
However Paul Rowley has made the correct decision.

| Good on the club for letting him play for NW yesterday, but bringing him back on Friday seems like a cheap shot.......ie he's better than most reserves, but nowhere near good enough for first grade.....
Just doesn't sit right with me!
No doubt the "insiders" can tell me how this was allowed to happen!

It's called 'tactics'. Tire him out for Sunday. Unfortunately the other 16 NWC players weren't eligible to play for us in Friday's GF!

Who's to say that he didn't ask to play on Friday given he's played a number of games for the reserves and is a similar age to a lot of the lads?

| I would imagine seeing RYAN played quite a lot of games for the reserves they gave him the choice to play and earn his medal, should we win, simples really. no hidden agenda, he deserved it IMHO. I'm pleased for the lad, he was outstanding in the friendlies early in the season and didn't warrant dropping on his proformances and he has IMHO never let us down, not saying he's better then some of the other props but he's always played well when h'es played and is one for the future, hope to see him back at Leigh one day .

Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

| Apparently NWC are being investigated for playing Ryan on Sunday. I think the possible issue is to do with the fact that he returned to Leigh and played in the reserves grand final.

| Doesn't there have to be a minimum of 48 hours between games. Can't see that we have complained though

| Well surprisingly the unfit Ryan Duffy had two good games.
I still think he should be offered a contract.

| Decent squad player, but never going to be first choice. His fitness is nowhere near upto the standard we should be aiming for. If anybody watches the highlights of the leeds game, see who is at fault for Leeds' final try. Ryan Duffy had his back turned and wasn't back in the line. Has a decent offload, takes the ball up hard, but gets put on his back more often than not and can't do the minutes.

| The Watcher has been informed that Beaumont & Rowley have disagreed on the future of Duffy. The board member wants to offer the prop a contract that will keep him at Leigh, whilst the coach obviously doesnt rate the young pie eater. Other clubs are interested in taking the big forward, Batley & Whitehaven to name just 2 of them but with the Leigh based agent Mr D Peet now representing Ryan The Watcher hopes he will remain at Leigh & develop into a true Leigh great.
