953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| Didn't take you long. As far as the good doctor is concerned, time will tell. Hope I am wrong because several clubs and the game in general will take a big hit if he decides to walk away once he gets what he really wants. I am really hoping the Koukash name is not going to be associated with 10% of the RFLs member clubs.

| I'm happy to see Bradford being potentially saved, but at what price do we allow plurality to slip away from our game?

| I think Koukash is a breath of fresh air, and we need more people promoting our sport in higher echelons. How do you think RU attracts sponsorship.

| I have no problem with The Dr's wife taking control at Bradford if it saves the club, but I do think that the RFL should drop them down to at least the championship level if it does happen. They should also be forced to play immediately within the Championship salary cap.
That will test the Dr's desire to be an owner for some of the right reasons as well, as some other perceived personal business reasons.

So, you want them to be demoted after 4 or 5 games, and "immediately" have a different salary cap??
Have you thought this through??

| Bradford have financial probs so should be relegated and given time to rebuild next season in the Championship.
London Broncos sadly no way back.
I don't think anyone puts money into a RL club to make money.
Re the idea of a racecourse in the vicinity of Salford 's present home that seems a no brainer. It is a hard enough place to get to with present transport links.

Actually yes I have and thanks for asking.
From the time the club is officially taken over by Dr K (should it happen), then they should be suspended from the SL. All players should be paid as per contract until they are picked up by another club or the end of the season. The club should then restart in the Championship at the same salary cap as every one else (and I can think of no reason why anything else if fare to every other team in the Champ) and start to rebuild from there forward. With the right coaches, playing staff, off field structure and people, and a big money backer, they should be able to progress quickly back to where Dr K would want them to be.
I'm sure this is not what the good Dr would choose as the ideal plan (far from it I know) and it is a tough one for the Bradford fans in the short term, but it is fare to the rest of the rugby clubs, and it would test the true intentions of Dr K.
It's not like he couldn't afford it, so why should he not go for it if he really does want the best for Bradford Rugby in the future.
Just my opinion.

| Why should Bradford be punished more than the six points deduction? They are the rules aren't they? If they manage to stay in SL on merit why shouldn't they still be there?

| The six point deduction is for reasons that have already occurred. Any move now made by Dr K (or his wife) is new business with what some believe are dubious intentions. I'm sure he will approach Bradford and the RFL with specific conditions that favour him personally and financially.
If he were to come forward and settle any and all debts, without personal gain other than acquiring ownership of the club, ie. without any "if I don't get this concession then it's not happening" clauses, then so be it.
But I bet that doesn't happen.
One thing is for certain though, as others have said, love him or not, he has got people taking notice of Rugby League who probably haven't previously. I'm just not sure if it is for the better profile of the game

| So it seems that the good doctors....sorry Mrs Koukash's bid was not the highest and has been unsuccessful. Marwan outbid? Did he really want them? Or was it just more publicity he wanted. By heck he loves the sound of his own voice.

| Must admit I'm old fashioned and prefer the players and what they do on the pitch to be the main thing people are taking about and what the press report on but he has got Salford a few column inches they would never have got even though this 'story' was supposedly about Bradford.
