I agree it was a strong skilful side with plenty of power & pace and gave Leigh a real good workout that 15 min spell just after half time will do Leigh a world of good in the coming months

2,988 is OK. I was surprised to see this was the attendance, only thought half that would bother. I didn't go, and I don't really know anyone who even considered going. They are only warm up games and will all be forgotten about by the time Leigh and Batley run out on to the pitch on 16th Feb.
As for expecting a full strength Wigan side? When do they ever send a full team in this annual pre-season match?

Agreed.

I was initially disappointed at Wigan's youthful selection. However, as it turned out their selection was spot-on to make a good contest out of it, and I too feel that both sides would have benefitted more as a result. Leigh were certainly given plenty to think about, and Wigan's future looks to be still in good hands.
