| Seem to be outnumbered but Saturday would be the worst choice for me and would mean an end to me having a season ticket after 20+ years.

| I am just home from the LISA meeting. A question was raised from the floor on match day next year. Andy Mazey confirmed it had been discussed at BOD level but no decision made.
I think at our next game the club is looking to use LISA to canvas suppotyers preferred match days. However Saturday evenings did appear to be a very popular choice from the LISA members that spoke. It was still being discussed as I left the meeting.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| The most valuable commodity a business can have is cash, cold hard money in the bank
Then assets, specifically those that can make money
Thirdly ,information, primarily information about your customers
The 1st 2 we dont have, the 3rd is within our control, I suggested a ' census ' to be done by the club every year at the 1 st 2 matches to gain at least 90% of the attending fans details, part of that would be a real indication of when fans prefer to watch Leigh at the LSV
Also it would indicate how any initiatives were working, or not, once again not rocket science, just plain common business sense, requiring a bit of thought and some hard work to achieve

| Sunday for me, Sat 6.30 would clash with my social life but when I was a lad we played Saturday at 3pm, Sunday only came in during 1967. Why not revert to Saturday ay 3pm?

Suggested the same at the PSG, but we had an issue with mobilising the volunteers to do it. It seems so simple to achieve, with big benefits to the club, in being in touch with their customers. I will suggest that is a priority for the 'Communications' Group to work on. It's really great having the 'whistles & bells' type of communications (e.g. TV/radio) but we are definitely (IMO) missing out on some of the basics of communication.

| As I say, LISA have agreed to survey supporters at our home next play off (when ever that may take place) and had at least 3 volunteers who agreed to assist with it.
It will be interesting. I am firmly in the Sunday 3pm camp but taking into account the poll on here and the views of supporters last night who IMO made a clear case for Saturday's regarding targeting local families and the younger generation, then I can be persuaded over.
In fact taking everything into account, If I was a betting man I would put a small wager on us playing Saturday evenings next season.

| The way this poll is worded is meaningless in terms of judging attendances based on the 3 different options. It may well be that every single person who has responded would still go regardless of which of the 3 was used, even though they have a preference. We should really ask of the 3 options which would you definitley not attend. From that we could calculate the likely effect on crowds.

| Didn't this form part of the survey club did last year or the year before? We completed it on line and the results were revealed at a LISA meeting from memory, which indicated Saturdays were preferred by a larger percentage of people?
Perhaps the club could do with digging that out, it might give them a baseline to compare the next survey against?

| Well yes we can do another poll for that.
I will not be attending many Friday night games, I do not want to be wandering the streets of Leigh gone 10pm on a cold dark winters night at my age.
I only want to be at the side of a roaring fire enjoying a glass of fine scotch, (whilst listening to Leigh life radio commentary if we choose Friday nights)
I will attend most games on either a Saturday or a Sunday.

Have to say I agree that we need other options on the poll Not bothered - I'll go whatever day we play![/i
*[i Any day but Fri/Sat/Sun (delete as applicable)[/i
*[i Whatever day you pick, I'll use it as a stick to beat the club with!![/i
I think that pretty much covers the 'grey areas'!!

Agreed, the current poll shows …..
31 for Sunday
39 for Saturday
10 for Friday
based on that people could jump to the conclusion that Saturday is best but if the others which totals 41 wont/can’t go Saturday then we have just halved our attendance.
I won’t be going to many if it moves to Saturday but as I’ve said before the BOM have to do what’s best for the business.

Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.

Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |
