To be honest,Message boards are all about gossip.rumors etc,you take that away and you have a very sterile MB.

It was ironic that the interview by our sam was at the lsv, he was obviously getting used to the place, i personally would love sam in our pack, add that bit of aggresion all good packs needs. However not if it means a certain mr ridyard goes in opposite direction, i have said before i really cant see why ridy would want to go to fax or any other club for that matter

A bit of aggresion(channeled in the right way) is what has been missing from Barlow`s game this season. The reality was though that most teams have his step and offload down to a tee and it dosnt leave a whole lot left apart from his temper and giving penalties away. Given we were able to bring Adamson in and a couple of players returning from injury it left him way down the pecking order. Shape up or ship out and he chose out. Like I have said though very shrewd bit of business from Fax.

Well I was at Fax for their game against Fev.

This Barlow Riddy story was related to me by Fax mates of mine. I said I thought it was wishfull thinking on their part.

A very big Fev fan said Barlow was a good mate of one of their Board members and he thought Barlow would be at Fev next season.

I think my 2nd to last post was the only one that mentioned an ilegal approach and was very much tongue in cheek. The fact is that Sam has a year left on his contract at Fax. I very much doubt that Fax would just let him walk away from that contract and would look to be compensated in some way, be that money or player swap, for the last year of a very hefty contract.

I wonder how many weeks he will go at Leigh before his agent starts banding around that a SL team have come in for him and he wants more money.

He was very poor that day, I remember that. We just got back in the game and he tried passing out of a 4 man tackle about 10 out from our own sticks.

Thats not for me to say is it? I expect you will be waiting a while for an apology from the trade papers though. That is unless they are way off the mark too.

Its been reported in numerous places and by numerous people that Barlow has signed a deal with Leigh for next season. I guess from what you have said Leigh are denying that, so lets wait and see, maybe the people saying it are wrong.

Of course it could be made up but if it was a large article like that ?????.

As regards an illegal approach there is no way I can see that being the case, everybody knew that Sam was signed up at Fax for next year.

If he has penned a 2 year deal starting next season for Leigh then all parties must have been involved in the process whatever that involves.

If it turns out to be cobblers it's kept us occupied for a short while and we will survive the experience.
