HOT , HOT , HOT that sort of weather wont suit the big men , lets run YERE off his feet , with Riddys kicking game , and Bob B and Penkys dashes from dummy half , give the seagulls a nightmare , we would soon have Mitch Stringer puffing and Blowing .

Paul has a tough decision but as I said earlier it how paul manages his players and this situation , if he gets it right duffs will understand if this situation does arise . Nice to see the board backing paul whatever team he picks , that's how it should be , never work for a board that controls you , are you listening mr noble'"
What about THIS BOARD ?

| It would be a close call between Penky & Nico Penkys form has,nt been good but he's a big game player Nico on the other hand is in great form whenever he gets on and speeds the game up which in the heat on Sat in the stadium which could go up to the high 30s with the temp outside in the high 20;s could be the difference in playing Nico and possibly a full time Taylor

| Well I have heard our lads are on a big bonus should they win on Saturday.
We have all seen the team spirit in our side and I am sure that bonus will be shared between all squad members whoever is selected.
Imo we are a club going in the right direction.
The nucleus of the team has already been signed for next season and from what I hear we will have a massive pack.

Its a forum where RL is discussed and you won't agree with everything that's posted.
You could put things forward that offers a different viewpoint or opinion to mine like Frank, Charlie and others have done but throwing insults is a bit silly don't you think.

10303_1313522771.jpg Bolton by birth,
Irish by blood,
LEYTHER by heart and soul!!
30/04/06 "Some of W*gan's travelling fans headed towards the exit before it was even over.".................no change there then!![/quote:suio7kr3]
.....They are our people. Drummond, Costello, Manfredi, Svabic, Martyn, Street, Tickle, Patel, Mossop, Horo, Bristow, Leuleui, Varley, Fleary, Rivett, Tabern, Doran, Woods, Donlan, Wilshire, Leaefa, Hansen, Sale, Murphy… these are all my people.
As a Leyther, you’re one of us the moment you come here to wear the shirt. I don't care where you were born, what colour you are, what religion you are, what language you speak. You're one of us, part of our culture, writing our history as you create your own, and making us stronger for it....[/quote:suio7kr3]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10303.jpg |

As it goes I've been to every home game this season, and several away games....and I tend to agree with Jenky!!
I have no problem what so ever with Spencer being selected....lets be honest, the lad has already played more games for us than he'll ever play for W*gan, and is a Leyther in all but name (and lets hope - as they don't seem to rate him, that we get him signed up for next season!), but IMHO the potential inclusion of Taylor sends out the wrong message. He won't be there to plug an injury crisis gap, but will prevent a contracted Leigh player from playing in a final.....not what, we are always told, the DR system is about!!
If I was young Duffy, I'd be gutted if I was dropped from the final 17 to accomodate someone 'parachuted in' for one game!!
I wont let it spoil my enjoyment of the final if it happens, but feel the point needs to be made.
That said, if it does happen, lets hope that this might provide the spur to young Ryan to go 'hell for leather' in the close season, and work on the fitness which is still the question mark hanging over his game.....and come back next season determined to be our first choice front rower, and show everyone he is the player we all believe he can be!!

This for me is the most likely reason if Duffy doesn't make the 17.
1. He is young and one for the future.
2. As much as I like his guts out running, he's all heart on the field but not fit enough for a high pace, hot day, final.
3. Many of us believe he can be a a first choice, but right now he has not shown the commitment to drop the weight, tone up, and match his heart with his fitness and strength.
I would love him to play but can really see why he may not.
What ever our coach decides I am 100% behind him and the 17 he chooses.

Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

Charlie agrees with everything in this post ,as you say its very tough on Duffy , if hes not selected to play , and in his position I would be devastated , BUT again as you state it WILL inspire to get 100% fit for the coming games ,and next season move up a notch to try tp prove to Paul R he is worth a place in the starting 17 , its all about 1 game on Saturday , and for me , a choice between a Full time experienced player in Scott Taylor or part time Ryan Duffy , id go for Taylor EVERY TIME , no doubt .

Can't argue with any of this VL.
However, in Ryan's defence, I believe he did shed loads of weight in the close season, after signing for us. (Didn't Barrow have problems finding a shirt to fit him?!) Granted, he possibly still has some way to go - if he does miss out, there's always this season's GF to aim for!
