Apparently there is a United v Chelsea FA Cup semi final replay on ITV with a lunch time kick off when we play Workington.

Normally I would not care less about football but with us now needing EVERY penny through the gate would we be wise to avoid it Easter Monday and keep our game as a 3pm KO?

I hope we play at 2 then as I wanna watch both our game and the United match , might pop on pub and then straight on the the game

The football match will still be being played well after 2pm.

If there are any Manchester United fans watching it in the pub and it's all square with Chelsea, I cant see many of them not bothering with the final 20 mins to rush down for Leigh v Workington, can you?

I blame Salfordlad without this thread I wouldn't have known there was an issue until Easter Sunday.

I dont understand why our game kicks off at 12 on Good Friday. Play it at 6 and that gives us a good chance for a drink!!!!

I wouldn't say I'm calling anyone, being a touch critical yes, calling no .
To change a kick off time so near to the date is not what we should be doing unless totally critical (ie : TV have requested to show the game - The fixtures have been known for months), the fact that neither you, me or many others know why its officially changed also underlines just how poor our club can still be at communicating the simple things to the supporters.
Yes its minor, yes it won't affect most fans but IMHO its the simple 'own goals' such as this that we as a club have to stamp out if we want to make sure we don't continue to lose money.

This is a long shot but lets hope the the club announce the kick off times for both matches on thursday night not only before the kick off but at half time and as the final hooter has gone so no one can claim they didnt hear the annoncment

Something in the website/press/programme wouldn't go amiss as well.

It appeared in the Sheffield programme ('Next Up At LSV') and will also appear in the Barrow one (same page) as a 2 p.m. kick off. That's when I always thought it was to be.
