"Well I brought 2 Bobs today but I do have an issue with the the reserved seating .I do have a reserved seat due to friends I go with but when I get someone to come along it means either they sit on their own or I don't sit with friends and its not only me who has said this, and I have emailed TB and tweeted the Leigh Centurions about it ,wish they would scrap reserved seating altogether .'"

Just sit elsewhere, plenty of seats that aren't reserved.

As it is, I'm more than happy with the reserved seats as it means we don't have to get in too early to get where we normally sit. I'm also fortunate in that there aren't any season tickets at the side of our two seats which means the two non-ST holders who came with me could sit at the side of us.

There was loads of reserved seats empty again today by the way ,as for sitting somewhere else thats what I do when I bring a friend but would also like to sit with friends I have been going with for years and its not fair for me to ask them to move .

Well if you want to use my reserved seats for the Batley game then you're more than welcome to as I won't be using my West Stand seats and will be stood in the North Stand instead icon_lol.gif

Quote: JENKY "6.15pm Saturday night.
Up against the weakest TV SL fixture and no live football match (if indeed they still show it live on Saturdays - not too up on what SKY show), allows away support to get here , allows young familys to come , allows people to do things and still get back for the game, allows those who don't live within 2 miles to get there easily, allows people to watch the football then watch the RL, allows a majority of people to get home from work / be off work then go to the game, allows the players to play the game in decent temperatures in summer, can be used as a 'day out' by putting other events on at /near the ground on the day (as per Australian RL fixtures).

Of course there will be people who prefer other dates and I'm sure everyone has a favourite kick off day / time but the above does seem to tick a lot of boxes in terms of what the club needs.'"

Spot on ! I have been saying for ages that we should play Saturday evenings. Trevor Barton commented not long ago about how good the Tolousse game was in the hospitality areas together with one of our better crowds. Of course there will be pros & cons for whichever day but Saturday ticks many more boxes than any of the others.

Myself and Walt Jnr. are yet to use our reserved seats, as they are not exactly where we like to sit anyway (if that makes sense!!).....but the opportunity to 'pull rank' will be handy for those odd games were it batters down, so the stand fills up from the back, and if you're late in you get soaked (as happened to us once last season!!) or where the crowd is a bit bigger than normal, and we struggle to get our spec in the back row!!

Hadn't been a fan of Saturday evenings, but that Toulouse attendance was a pleasant surprise. I too now suspect that Saturday evening would be better than Friday. I suppose the snag with Saturday evenings this season is that, where our home games clash with Swinton (Sunday) LSV probably won't be keen on having two games in less than 24 hours.

kcab sfrawdder Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg

Probably because of the playing surface? Mind you, to be fair to LSV I'm only guessing that they wouldn't like two games in 24 hours - they haven't said that and, come to think of it, weren't there three on consecutive days last year in the Challenge Cup?

I realise Friday night 'habits' means a lot of people go out on a Friday to the pub, watch the Super League game then have a hour to argue the toss over ref decisions etc etc.
I note that on two of our Friday games we clash with tv games Warrington v. Saints and Saints v. Wigan, oh dear ! Me ? I will be in my seat in the West Stand on whatever day we play, and tape the SL game if it takes my fancy.

Saints v Wigan is at 2.45pm on Good Friday - we play at 12pm against Swinton so that avoids that issue.

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult”:

Sadly this is the outcome of a ill thought out pre season season ticket drive.

Once people get out of the habit of going to games it hard to get them back.

The club should have kept with the same offers for season tickets as last year,at least that way they got people to commit to later in the year and if they didn't for the million of reasons posted previously turn up the club still had some money from them.

As it stands now they are banking on people coming and paying a higher price on match day,but if jonny or jimmy or bob or whoever is short of money that week its leigh who suffers as its a case of they are only playing thingy and will get 40 anyway.

Also I think broadcasting the home games on the net is a mistake its a free service that people could use more in the summer, lovely warm day sat in garden cheap beer listening to the game could take another 100 off.

So trev moves us to thursday [tv] friday by choice and chuck in the odd saturday game your public as no idea were or when they play.

The clubs needs to raise very very serious concerns with the rfl over funding at lower level,if every super league team was forced to dump one johnny foreigner player and there contract payment was passed onto the "lower leagues" the cash boost would be massive for them clubs,so the money is there its just how it gets spread about.

I really think the clubs should boycott this years challenge cup as a way to raise awareness of the lack of funding and force it into the general public eyes.

Is there still a 3 year application period for promotion?

Or as lots of us suspect the draw bridge is up,so were does that leave the likes of leigh?

I really really fear for not only our future but most of the clubs at our level.

I would love to see the football association turn round to mufc and say heres 9 home games make it work?

And that sadly is what we are up against

Don't think it matters if its sunday thursday friday tuesday afternoon the crowd will not budge much more than 1800

And back to the main point, the season ticket planning they did as/is coming home to roost

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg

The season ticket planning was delayed (because they were not even sure we had a club) wasn't it. So you can't really blame them for that. The crowd was disappointing Sunday yet it was still the second highest in the NRC on Sunday. If you think we have problems look at the Broncos crowd for their SL game at the weekend....1900.

edit:

Just seen an extra post has popped up while I am typing and it follows a similar pattern negative(ish) post up pops maurice with his mention of the PSG and TC and no doubt sarcastic winks
