Unfortunately some people want someone else to do all the hard work and pay for their leisure they also don't understand the meaning of community and spirit and just sit behind a keyboard and snipe

Don't think so jc. For example the share awarded to lisa or the tc will allow an elected member of the group to site on the board...I think

I understand that mate,so the club will be getting [for arguments sake] 6 new share holders [individuals and groups] which is good. But will the old share holders still be hovering around wiating for something or have they relinquished there share ?. either way as long as they're gone it dont really matter it just leaves it open ended.

I'm not sure I agree with your not so subtle hidden message icon_smile.gif . If other investors come in they will step down, this was stated 2 fans forums ago. They both tendered their resignations to enable new investors to come in, but that did not happen. They have stayed on to enable us to still have a club, and they have orchestrated the saving of the club in the short term. Lots can happen over the next year.

It wasn't directly aimed at them two although they are part of the old brigade that had there opportunity and failed.
I do agree that coffee and freer , especially freer it seems, have done a top job getting the club through this mess and i agree they should still be there for now,i respect trevor bartons opinion enough not to doubt it.

If those two arn't investors Why does the club need other investors for them to step aside surely people like mick nixon and the CC are the future of the club now?.

No it wont JC, and its a good question.

The Club currently have a number of unallocated shares; in simple terms these are shares that are not currently owned by individuals (Directors etc).

It is these 'unallocated' shares which will be 'allocated' to the TC (and LISA). Not a single penny goes towards buying existing Directors shares. If it did, none of the TD team would be involved.

Every penny in profit generated by the TC goes towards increasing revenue, creating stability, and building a better Club for all of us. In return it gets a share for every £20k profit.

For logistical reasons (we can bore you with them if you like) there has to be a sensible cut off point in the number of shares that can be allocated but we'll worry about when we've generated a million are are lifting the Challenge Cup!! icon_wink.gif

This is our chance, every single one of us, to help secure the long term future of the club, buy into it, and have a say in the direction it takes moving forward.

Maybe they don't want to be directors and put themselves in the firing line. Its a tough job and at the moment we have three people who have put themselves up there. If they weren't doing things right would the RFL have advanced them half of next seasons money?

Another fair question which Demon pretty much answers very well icon_lol.gif

Mike, Chris, Alan, and Steve (and anyone else who fanices jumping in and helping out - it's certainly not a closed shop!! icon_smile.gif ) are a big part of the TC and it's creation but it's owned by it's members. Without the members there is no TC.

However without the input of Keith, Phil, and Trevor there would not be a Club let alone the TC. Their continual input is very important.

Together they probably have 50+ experience in RL and its governance. Last season the TC team were stood on the terraces with everyone else. It's a huge jump from one to the other.

Quote: sex on legs "£75 for 2 per month isn't corporate, its a fan with a decent job.
£20 is affordable to many, if it hits the spot and is sold.
Understand what would motivate and focus on those areas, less choice, more exclusive benefits, more pride

The Gold Package is not intended to be wholly Corporate, or an 'elite' environment. It's intended to be a halfway house between the terraces and the Boardroom, affordable to as many as possible.

The matchday tables, boxes, match ball sponsorships etc are still available.

The GP is aimed at anyone who wants to join, from a fan with a decent job and a spare few quid who wants a slightly different matchday experience, to a small local business who for a tenner a week can take customers and/or network with others in a relaxed environment. That opportunity was not there previously.

Once they are there, yes, its probably our job to tempt them into the next step of Corporate packages once in a while.

Currently we have new GP members from local businesses who have never set foot in LSV before but now realise that at a tenner a week they can afford something different for their staff, customers, family etc.

Quote: Dick Jones "This is a genuine question if someone was to buy into the bronze touchdown package and pay 6 months and then lose their job and have to cancel how would that be sorted out? It could actually happen.'"

It's a difficult position to be in for anyone but their Season Ticket would unfortunatly be cancelled, as would their Sky TV, gym, phone, etc if that wasn't paid.

What we'd endeavour to do would be to try and speak to the person beforehand to see if there is another option.

It's not to punish anyone when their situation changes for the worse, we just dont think the remaining paying members would be too pleased at subsidising those who are not.

Currently we are members of the lottery scheme which gives me 15 tickets to use throughout the year as I see fit. Having 3 small kids this is far better than a season ticket as I can't get to many games.

If I were to upgrade to become a gold member of the TC I would be in a far worse position.

Any chance you could look at a flexible ticketing arrangement as part of the scheme?

Yes we have considered flexible arrangements with the GP for members.

There will be the option to add on individual tickets for individual games. This includes kids etc because we want to create a semi-formal but very relaxed environment for everyone. Businesspeople have kids, and Sunday is a family day so to exclude them would be wrong. That said, we dont want to run a creche, thats Starbugs plan icon_lol.gif

However, its important to understand the lottery and the TD are two totally different concepts. The lottery match ticket is just that, a match day ticket, the GP gives a bite to eat in a relaxed environment with 'backstage' access so to speak.

We're not trying to compete with the lottery, what they do is fantastic for the club and rarely gets the credit it deserves. If we can generate the kind of money they do then great. But, its hard to compare what you will get for your pound when they are two different products.

If you were considering keeping the lottery but coming along to the GP for the odd game then yes, it's something we definatley need to consider.

We dont want to exclude anyone but we've also got to keep the administration of the club as straightforward as possible (catering numbers, room size, Direct Debits, etc).
