| Quote: jonny the leyther "Thought Hill, Jimmy Taylor and Govin were outstanding today, first chance i've had to see Ellis in the flesh and didn't really notice him do much. We look a bit undurcooked at the minute, which is probably a good thing as we'd already peaked at this time last year.
Favourite comment from a Leigh fan was after Nanyns sixth kick....'bl**dy hell, at last he's kicked one'
Shows that a lot of fans are stubborn in their negative views of players, Nanyn and Ridyard got it all game off him.'"
Losing away to York was peaking? get a grip Jonny

| Ganson every week please.
Swinton were dead and buried until the ref allowed them endless posession late first half/early 2nd.
Our left defence was exposed, we needed to hold the line and pick out the runners like we did last week at Batley.
The pace of the game was slow, I assume it was about keeping the game closer, and didnt suit us.
Ferocious defence in the middle, especially Taylor, Hill was outstanding. Thornley runs good lines. Dont know why Nicholson didnt play. Higson did plenty work, as did McGilvray.
5/10

| The Swinton game was very average , but early in the season ,so it was okay , i thought our forwards all played well ,i thought ellis had a quiet game ,but never mind , a wins a win , Basil will sort it ,hopefully Robbie back next week,Swinton are a workmanlike side and scored a couple of decent tries , our first half tries were a bit scrappy , but again ,3 pts all that matters , keep it up lads ,put them Seagulls to the Sword next week.

| Not exactly a world beating performance but we did enough to win, that's all that matters at the end of the day!
The conditions won't have helped either, wasn't exactly the day for expansive rugby!
Overall i'm pleased, that's the sort of game we would have lost over the past few years!

| I heard a few fans were not happy with Riddys performance , but i thought he had a decent game , made a couple of the better tries ,Riddy along with Ellis ,and Robbie will work wonders this season , the conditions were not good ,we will come good later ,im backing us for a Trip to the Promised Land in July .

| I thought ridyards kicking in the 2nd was very good and all the half backs where busy and creative considering how bad the weather was.

| ah well if someone people would stop watching hilly and taylor for a second they'd realise how much work the other players put in.
Tommy Goulden for instance worked hard both in defence and attack as did everyone else but to listen to a few on here we only have two players worth watching

Aye he does seem to slip under the radar when it comes to getting praise.
It was the same last season i think but the coaching staff noticed iirc.

Riddys kicking game was excellent coupled with the fact he could/should of scored 2 tries but elected to pass the ball twice, good game riddy keep it up

| Just watched the game again on Blip tv.
Duffy seems to be ok from the comments made by Basil at the end of the game.
A totally unbiased commentary as usual from Dave and Derek.
