I was born in the Firs lived in Hope Street no 48 , My Mum and Dad live at 64 nowadays, I think I deserved a CHANCE. Any way we have 4 mods and only 2 frequent and contribute these days so I personally think that should get some consideration. Thanks everyone. Im honest, Leigh through and through so why not tell me?????????????????????????

I think Starbug should be the chief mod on the VT as theres a lot of Bull spoke on they need a proper mod on there I reckon .

Maybe that was the problem, or maybe admin feel we have enough Dick’s!

On a serious note, I think we all know you’re passionate about Leigh/Lisa etc, and would probably make a decent mod (you’d need to avoid some of the late night postings though ) but does it really matter? The vast majority of posters are just having a little fun it’s only the odd one or two who have issues, and in the main our mods haven't been over controlling like some on other boards, and I'm sure Fred will also continue in this manner.

As for mods not being on here, how do you know they aren’t watching and only intervene when necessary? I was asked to be a moderator on another board, rarely post but have a look most days.

My Mam's plate prater pies are a work of genius......and she was born in 'Landan'!! But, to be fair she has spent the majority of her 75 years 'round these parts' - her Mam's lot were Westleythers!!

the other 75% of my DNA is Irish (mum's Dad's lot from County Galway, and the old fella was from County Meath), and I was born in Bolton. But enough of it rubbed off for me to realise one inalienable truth:

Had a bowl of lobby in the Centurion yeaterday and it had carrots and it was very good.

You may think my view very modern but carrots are good for ones' eyesight (although I admit when the ball is in the South stand half I struggle).

My mates must have liked it cos they went back for seconds and thirds.

You flatcappers have to realise time and recipes move on.

We then went out again after one pint because the 'round soft ball' game was on in preference to RL
