As an outsider looking in, if the stewards at the LSV have the same kind of attitude as you're displaying in your posts on this thread I can understand why people have a problem with them.

Ok, well some guy collapsed, I think you personally pointed and laughed whilst making sure no other stewards came to his assitance, you then made an elderley lady with a walking stick run around the pitch (not direct but all the way around) to get the club doctor and then made them walk backwards to the collapsed man, at this point you made the doctor diagnose him with his eyes closed.

Has this been changed from the actual event enough that you will now enlighten me?

The subject was getting more crowds and it was brought up by the chairman that the LSV was not helping matters, he went into details about various things and we mentioned about the cheerleaders.
What Arthur said was someone had been taken very poorly and no one would help, so they had to get Dr Stewart and he had to ring an amubulance and then the club got a letter at a later point saying they hadnt followed correct procedure and they response "were they supposed to let him die"

Where else are you supposed to raise issues as a supporter if you can't do it at a supporters association meeting?

This is what causes confusion by having representatives at every meeting, as I've said before to me LISA meetings should be about LISA issues, aren't stewards the responsibility of LSV? If so try contacting them.

Jonny is right these are issues concernng supporters. If LISAs only aim is to raise funds for players and discuss what happens on the field then it is falling short somewhere. This isn't a slight on anyone of the great LISA commitee and the fantastic work they do but it is a supporter issue. Further to this I would say that the weight of LISA could bring to attention some of the grievences that the supporters have with the LSV instead of individuals sending letters and emails of complaint that go unread or discarded.

I have no problems with the stewarding at the LSV I think they do as they are told by their employers.

There however would seem to be a problem with the management team who insist on their rules being carried out to the letter irrespective of circumstances. Good managers are flexible and devolve a lot of their decisions to employees because it encourages enterprise and initiative. Something I feel they would do well to consider.

Oh and for the original poster I am pleased you had such a response from the steward concerned. He is a good lad whoever he is.

the running if the LSV has nothing to do with LISA or the centurions for that fact. LISA should stick to doing what it was meant to do.

erm.. you could try raising it with the people who control the issues, the club have no control over the stewards. try contacting the LSV management.

No ones saying they aren't issues, but they need addressing to those who are responsible.

By all means have Club and/or LSV representatives down occasionally, but by doing it all the time, it can dilute what to me should be LISA's main objectives,increasing membership, fund raising ideas, increasing participation at events, where the money raised are being spent etc.

Just out of interest how much of the meeting time is spent listening to the 'visitors' and how much on LISA issues?

Arthur/Ian was there to thank the walkers and they asked if anyone had any questions, as a LISA member contributing £5 I feel that its one of the priveliges(sp) we have and always have had, if non member s dont like ,either join or shut up basically.
