I backed you up too I refer to my first post on this thread. By the way last time this idea of Sale playing at the LSV was mentioned I posted it would be as daft as getting into bed with someone who you knew would stab you in the back as soon as you fell asleep.

If Sale did move in to the ground there'd be a full house for most home games, ive been to many games at edgeley park and away teams from leicester, leeds, london have brought thousands of supporters in terrible conditions mainly on friday nights ive been to night games and still away fans travel. Sale home fans are from all over the north so wud have no problem travelling and i believe it wud be good bringing them here. Kennedy may have ideas to suit himself but leigh aren't getting much at the moment anyway

Most of their games only attract around 6 or 7k with just one or 2 hitting the 8k mark. Obviously a lot more than we get at the moment but can't see the Cheshire set being happy coming to a rough @rse town like Leigh!!! icon_lol.gif

As you know more than me,you wont need telling then will you, that Genesis have one match left at the LSV and then are relocating too Crilly Park?

But you know that right?

Youlle also know about the stitching machine thats coming in when keith relays the patch, so it can have a game every day played on it wont you???

And that ours will be only 1 of 2 Rugby League pitches thats been stitched?

But you know this dont ya? and i know nothing...... icon_rolleyes.gif

He didnt say you know nothing, he said he knows more than you. And I think he knows better and more useful information than you as youre info is almost useless at best.

Lets see how good the stitching machine is in 3 inches of mud after 30 fat rugby union players have torn it up. Its wierd, Wembley cant play 2 games in 2 days but 'your mate kieth' could have saved the top stadium on the planet a fortune with his needle and thread!

The pitch at LSV seemed to hold up ok to me with three games in three days last round of the cup.

Think they got lucky with the weather more than anything, but it certainly seemed to be showing a bit of wear at the football on Saturday.

You're right it was dry and that did help, but surely the fixture planners in the main can ensure that only one team is at home on any given 'normal' weekend, cup games always add confusion.

Sale wouldn't be too bothered whether there's fixture clashes or not as I'm sure they'd make sure that they're number one, and we'd be the ones having to switch games etc, just as County ended up playing a 'home' game at Macclesfield because of the Sharks.

Playing Friday/Sunday I'd hope there'd not be a need to switch, and as much as I'd prefer Genesis still to be at LSV, the sad reality is with them out, Leigh Centurions/LSV needs another occupant as I don't think either of them can afford to be sole user, so whether it's Genesis, Sale, Rovers, or FC united or anyone, it needs someone to put money in the place.

That's what we (LGFC) thought when we switched our midweek matchday from a Tuesday to a Wednesday to allow for 2 days 'rest' after a Rovers game...

Think the LSV would be skipping if Sale were serious about moving to Leyth, but I support Leigh RL, not the stadium, and I can only see the negatives for us as Sale would be holding all the cards, as it were.
