what an absolute load of crap you talk! I cant say I'm his biggest fan but if anything he tries to get the crowd going from time to time by geeing them up! But how can you say he needs to stop posing?
I see it as a good move for him just now. He hasn't started too well so hopefully he can regain some confidence along with match fitness in case he needs to be recalled at any point! He's got a bright future so just needs to get back on the right track!

| Thanks Gringo. Now i,m a bit more wiser although i,ll wait for the authors interpretation.
If this is the case then i suggest he stops it immediately. Should he score for Haven on Saturday, which i think is a reasonable possibility, i would suggest he shows no emotion whatsoever. Should Haven win which again is a reasonable bet, i would hope Mort shows no appreciation at all to the Haven support.
Just hope Ged Stokes reads this forum and nips this show of enthusiasm in the bud!

Why wouldn't he celebrate scoring?? maybe not kissing the shirt like he does at Leigh but anyone would celebrate and clap the fans at the end who have cheered him on during the game, I would expect anyone on loan with us to do the same.
Although I would also expect him not celebrate scoring against Leigh the week after!

Exactly, my post is "tongue in cheek" but maybe, only maybe, Peawapp is infering that this behaviour constitutes posing.

| Maybe Peawapp thinks when he is giving it the fist in the air he's actually flexing his muscles??

| The problem with Morty is that he has had the rugby coached out of him. If any of you remember when he first debuted he broke the line constantly and in his games after that also. Then, all of a sudden it stops.
That lad could be a top attacking full back if allowed to play his own game. I have spoken to him on a couple of occassions and he has said that he is told not to do this, do that instead. He was a natural rugby player when he started at Leigh. Maybe, a lot of younger players should be allowed to develop naturally before they are inundated with plays, tactics etc... You see this all the time with even the top players.
Good luck lad you are leigh through and through. Show them what you are made of and come back stronger. I want to see you back at Leigh. Top lad.

They have been merged I would think because the original thread was running about 16 hrs before you posted yours Lynda.
Morty has only gone for a month whilst there are no reserve team games planned.

| Ian will be back. At the moment Donlan is first choice and rightly so as he's been in great form so far this season. No harm in Morty going away on loan to play a few games at Haven, keep him on his toes and playing regular games at this level.
Someone made a good point about him playing his natural game and how recently his game has looked a bit restricted but if that's the coaches orders then what else can he do. I see him very much in the mould of Turley, a great support player and a great broken field runner with space in front of him, he just needs a bit of confidence in taking the line on because he has the speed and step on him to make a break. Safe as houses under a high ball and his defensive skills will come with time and experience.
I think it's safe to say, that Millward knows what he is doing with the lad. We should trust his judgement.
