Don't think the attendances for friendlies mean a lot (other than financially). The fact that we can get three home game friendlies against SL opposition means that we are attractive as a club to market the LSV facilities and ourselves is a great plus! Until the recent cancellation of the game against Fev I thought that we may be taking on a bit too much. The last thing we want to do is start off the season with an injury crisis as has been evident in the past! The cancellation of the away game at Fev is common sense, IMO!

There was about 7 thousand on last season for the goons game wasnt there Matt on a bitter cold day, if the weather is better do you not think there will be about the same matey, i do.

I think there will be 6-7k again for the Wigan game.

Wire will brink 2k + and salford around 1k.

Thats 10k of away fans, and lets be honest, the more we can 'big up' LSV and our little Town team the better.

The Wire fans will love the stadium, thats for sure!! icon_biggrin.gif

I'd love it if there were, but I can't see it now that the 'first game' novelty is out of the way.

Exactly!! Bet there are a few extra in the Press box than would normally have turned up to report this match......and don't be suprised if North West Tonight and/or Granada Reports turn up as well!!

We can't underestimate the publicity generated by both IM and Robbie being at the club. Let's just hope the club latch onto this, and exploit it to the max!!! icon_wink.gif

I have to agree with the first part but:

You jest about the second part icon_confused.gif:

The two of them will do that themselves - and what a contest it will be - I am sure of that! icon_wink.gif

Think the Millward factor will bring the Pies in becaused they love a good rub in. I also think that £14 is a bit rich. I know it's a charity thing but £12 would have been better for a friendly. It would have got more locals as well.
