I thought both teams were crap, but Leigh clearly felt they could win it after their first try and went for it.

We had most of the possession and the chances but, as usual this season, couldn't find a way over. Matt Calland said we were clueless while attacking Halifax's line last week, which seemed to annoy a lot of Widnes fans, but he was right. We had the same problem today too.


What the hell have Leigh done to Doran?

He was a good player last time we had him, but has become a penalty machine since he came back. He was trying to con penalties out of the ref for holding down and reefing. Twice he gave up the ball and lost possession doing that!

as regards the supporters, 400 sounded like 4000 amazing atmosphere we sang/clapped and shouted FORWARD in unison. but it did not help that widnes did ave both ends of east stand shut?????? Y ????????.

Doran was always a penalty machine he's got worse as hes got older

To be fair Barrow will be a tougher nut to crack than Widnes. I just hope we have enough left in the tank.

I think that stand holds 2000? Both ends were shut so i'd say 700 not 400 does it matter tho i don't think any other team in this league will take that many and I KNOW NO team in this league will create that kind of noise!!

Thought man in the middle was an imposter other than that enjoyed the game got very exiting towards the end i could see stars from shouting too much and came away with a headache thought atmosphere in the east stand was great i'm very happy

What can I say - Absolutely brilliant.

Our fans are a credit to the club and we created a real atmosphere which carried the team and pushed them on that extra bit. If we can generate atmosphere like that everywhere we go, including home, we will be a 'feared team' and the lads appreciated it at the end. I loved Armistead trying to get more

Our pack worked like trojans today and we took Widnes into a mid-field battle and it really showed on them towards the end of the game. Chris Hill was my MOM, his effort in attack, defence and that last minute tackle won us the game - what an effort. We looked much more dangerous when Jock went to Loose and allowed the playmakers to take control of the game and we bossed it from 70 minutes onward.
