going back in time to the late nineties when players insurance hadn't been paid and operations cancelled while players where in the ops rooms

Alan, Mike Latham is the Chairman I must admit I laughed when he was appointed,as a person a very nice guy, as a Journalist and writer, very talented, but a Chairman ,I think he still guests on the TV show Pointless,a lot of folk applauded his appointment, not me, just a guy doing as he was told.

All these reports keep coming out yet the news from the Club is deafening,how will we ever attract players to sign for us with our record?I've heard stories of forfeiting the Fev game on Sunday, surely this won't happen, will it?Cmon Leigh , tell us something,the Fans are so important to a Club. Yet Leigh Centurions ignore us.

If he hadn't hired the helicopter those players might , just might have got paid something . Easy come easy go !!

Too many apologists on here

So the statement is now out and at least they've gone to some length to try and explain the situation but it still reads as though it's everyone's fault but their own. Granted there's an apology at the end but they still don't seem to have taken any real ownership of blame.

Statement says the players have all been paid.. Odd that some players have publicly said they haven't?

no it didn't it says all players that have agreed a reduced pay have been payed not the players that want what has been agreed on their contract and can't blame the players that want what it says on their contract

I agree Gunner,what would Derek do if all his customers agreed to pay x amount for Sundecks fitted to their caravans , then offered him half the agreed priced later?He would last long I business.

All seems to be the same rubbish of he said she said that we've seen plenty of over at Bradford during our troubles.

There's very little you can do other than grit your teeth, batten down the hatches and hope that you still have a club at the end of it

You wait for a statement for ages then two concerning our club come at once!
First the Leigh one and now one from the RFL allowing us to sign academy players (with no first team experience), same for Fev.

He may be satisfied if he made a c0ck of the job he was doing, thus taking responsibility for a poor fitting

The statement also says there a 6 players who have not accepted reduced fee terms, 2 have left the country, 4 played on Sunday & 2 are injured, forgive my rudimentary mathematics bit I make that 8 !!!!

I thought it read the two that left to country did so after being paid, but it has been a long day so..............
