| He was bang on in line of the elbow. Thought he blew for that, then changed the decision after the handbags. As for the knock on,that left me lost for words.

| Wasn't an elbow Atomic ..... it was [iA Punch[/i , saw it clear as day as it happened about 5 yards from me & directly in line of his run ....
How their 16 remained on the field & how they benefited from the penalty awarded will go to my grave with me.

| Agreed, he did well at Blackpool, but 2nd half today especially he was awful. And why was it that we got penalised for slowing 'quick' play the balls, but Fev were not penalised once ???
Having said all that though, Rovers looked far more enterprising in attack, but we were so 'predictable & slow' in attack. Spoke to Fevgrinder at the Whistling Wren (nice fella) and he was worried they might get stuffed today, but I'm guesing right now, that he's gutted that they didn't win. We were there for the taking today...(and not all because of the Ref). If we had have played well, the 'man in the middle' would have been insignificant.

| That was the worst game of rugby I have seen all season live or on TV.
It was played in super slow motion by 2 teams that were frankly awful. Defences were decent but the attack was none existent. Both teams tried to slow the game down as much as possible and the ref just let them and so both sides pushed it further and further until the match slowed to a crawl.
Fortunately for us we were slightly less sheeite than Fev were.
Ref gave them everything and when he didn't we gave it to them ourselves with shocking play. Knock ons, forward passes, kicks out on the full! Good god we were poor!
Can't believe that is the same referee that controlled the Bradford match so well and let both teams play at SL pace.
The elbow in the face that he somehow missed was as bad as I have seen in a while, nearly caused a big fight by giving that baffling decision.
We did well to come away with 2 points playing like that. If Fev had played even remotely well they would have won comfortably.
Need to put that performance behind us and move on from it. We need to improve a LOT before going down to London. The sooner we get Higham back the better, we are a shadow of the team we can be when he isn't playing!

| It was a shambles of a game in which both teams and officials were equally guilty of producing garbage. Fans of teams at the bottom of Super League will be sleeping peacefully tonight.

| I think we've had only one Lancashire referee all season and it's the only game the penalty count has gone in our favor (Oldham away). Come the middle 8s we'll get bombarded with Yarkshire refs and get slaughtered again. It was evident when the VR blatantly on TV (Chris Kendall, Yarkshire pr!@k) give Bradford a try for being practically 2 foot offside, and then this Bradford T@@T today was no different. Apart from Leyth being poor today ,the ref was even worse ,and how long do we have to keep enduring this kind of crap officiating? Today's ref is suppose to be a SL ref.

| Funny how opposing sets of fans see things differently. I thought the ref gave you the bulk of the questionable calls. There were two occasions where your man dropped the ball with a Rovers hand nowhere near it, yet you got the penalty.
There were numerous occasions when you were defending your goal line in the first half where your men were stood two yards in front of the ref in the defensive line and he seemed more than happy with it.
You appeared to be about 15 light years offside for your last try, but the ref was more than eager to award it.
You got away with far more at the ruck than we did, ref seemed happy to allow you all the time in the world to get up off our lads. Maybe it's because he was allowing for your geriatric pack not being as mobile as they once were
Can't comment on the cause of the handbags as we couldn't see it from that distance, but there must be a reason why a ref that favoured the home team all afternoon gave us the penalty.

| According to NJ, penalty count 7-1 in favour of Fev, in 2nd half.

| I thought the Ref was even on good and bad calls for both sides. If the score had gone along the lines of your
expected predictions the Ref wouldn't have been mentioned.

| Luckily both attacks were so poor, it's difficult to look at any big decisions that affected the score.
I'm not sure what was more baffling, how the ref missed the arm to the face, how that ended up as a Fev pen, or why they decided to take the two! Also, how the ref saw a drop out as a result of such a blatant knock on is anybody's guess.

| Terrible game. Worst I have seen in a long, long while. I brought a mate who usually only watches football, he yawned all through the match. Of course, we were somewhat "patched up" but blimey, we were poor. Defences were good, though, so credit there, I think.
Referee was ok, some baffling decisions, but I thought we were used to that by now.

| We are no longer getting constantly penalised for holding down in the tackle, but equally I think we are now releasing too quickly allowing sides to get on a roll. Compare how quickly Fev were releasing and not getting penalised. The other thing I have noticed is we seem to get turned too easily in a tackle thus making the PTB slower whereas we are not turning the opposition as easily. IMO we have overcompensated for the dreadful penalty counts earlier in the season. If we continue with this tackling style we will get marmalised in the 8s

BZ,
It was good to meet you yesterday, gutted - no, disappointed maybe a little, but most of all proud of containing what still is a very good Leigh side. I enjoyed the game because of the fact that we (Fev) put the effort in. Losing by a low score was a bonus for me, as I said before the game I expected to get beat by around 16 points. Drinkwater looks a good addition to your team having watch him play for you twice now and think that Burns will probably fit in overtime. And even though your pack was a little patched up yesterday it still looks awesome in this league, though your backs don't appear to be as good as last year. Though I suspect part of that is the fact that you are missing McNally, who is almost like having a 3rd half back joining the line.
Thought the Ref was a little inconsistent at times (for both sides) and he appeared to even up the penalty count in the 2nd half having given you (Leigh) a health start in the 1st half, but ultimately though I don't think he made any decisions that altered the out come of the game, which is about as good at the Refs get at this level.
Good luck for the rest of the season (unless we are lucky enough to meet you in the middle .
