2010 - The year for the Leythers!!

We were never officially relegated to my recollection. I don't remember seeing anywhere that this was the case.

Everything has been up in the air since the season ended for one reason or another. Of course the club had to plan ahead as though we were in Championship 1 but the league formats have seemingly never been finalised.

Halifax have had theirs on sale for weeks, and I presume they aren't the only ones.

Yes thats true but there are clubs ie sensible ones who are waiting to see how many games they have before pricing theirs. That applies to the Championship and Champ 1.

I wonder what Fax and Gateshead would do if the RFL decided on only one Championship League.

That is assuming of course, in Gateshead's case, that their application to join Champion
ship 1 is not rejected.

Ours went on sale on September 1st and the early bird price cut off date was end of September. Personally I think it was a little early and the club should have targeted Christmas as a way to shift the tickets, but I suppose with most people now got their tickets, the club can concentrate on shirt sales in the run up to christmas.

Typical RL these days.
We don't even know if we're down yet or not and if we don't go we'll have been saved by things off the pitch not on it.

Its a continuation of the bloody farce that has been Championship RL last season

Whilst we deserved to get relegated it is rather difficult to accept when you look that Toulouse got exempt based purely on the fact they play RL in a French 'Heartland' rather than a English 'Heartland.

That or they needed the 'readies' as per cash flow?

The Centurions will join Doncaster in Championship One in 2010 despite gaining a 47-14 win over Whitehaven on the last day of the regular season. Mick Nanyn(2), Dave McConnell (2), Lee Wingfield, Martyn Ridyard, Dave Alstead (2) and seven goals from Nanyn helped the hosts to victory. They were condemned to relegation after Batley came from 14-0 down at Featherstone to win 30-26 and Gateshead triumphed at Doncaster, who have finished the season with 17 straight defeats. Leigh actually finished in eight place, above Toulouse, but the French club are exempt from relegation.

Lets just say we get reinstated. Can imagine the uproar if we won the Championship? I can see a few fans from teams like Widnes and Fax being a tad unhappy.
