Reading your forum for interest. This one post seems to have generated most comments. What I cannot ascertain is anything to support the view. Just wondering!

I can't imagine for one minute 'the club' (Derek Beaumont) are allowing ANY player to train but not play. It's a load of b******s. Ben Flower and any other players are just injured or not being selected.

That's right. Ben Flower played versus Salford. He also featured against Saints and Cas in SL and Huddersfield in the cup. He did not play in the friendlies.

So we can all agree by playing v Salford he honoured and agreed to his SL contract.

Without reading his contract, that is impossible to know.
I await a time when the club are able to update us via a press release or selection in a game. (no disrespect to anyone’s info or opinion)

Degsy as so called sorted it with flower and he making himself back available so this could be to make sure he gets his pay packet so something in his contract must say if refusing to play you don’t get paid

Assume Ellis to York to get full matches and get fully fit. We are ok for backs at moment. Hope DB has sorted any issues with Flower so he makes himself available.

I agree but as the stand in coach would you pick someone who as refused to play for you I know what I would do if I was in charge he would be at bottom of the pecking order the lads was always going to fight a losing battle I would sooner stand up and be counted and go down fighting as a player

Something is happening, I suppose time will tell what it is, either Derek is lowering the wage bill ready to step aside at the end of the year or we have signed/resigned players and kept it quiet.

The amount of players missing off the “off contract” list is starting to coincide with the players being linked with other clubs on social media so it looks like an accurate assumption that we are letting our better players go.

The silence is deafening, it seems we have given up.
