| Finally a good decision made. I see DB is ironically taking the credit for prematurely retiring Mickey and designing fate to bring him back.
Now that Jukes has done the right thing, either Cunningham takes the coach role and is held fully responsible for reinventing the wheel over the last 6 months, or we get someone in who has the experience and Cunningham departs. At first I was thinking Tony Smith, but I actually like the Anderson option, linking back up with Keiron Purtill who one day will make an excellent Leigh coach himself. We have some good lads lined up for the future; Duffy, Purtill, Watson.
And how about a punt on Fui, 12 month deal to get some spark back in the squad to bounce back up to SL! Also would add a bit of spice to the Summer Bash! Tortonto are evidently missing his go forward and he is reportedly wanting back in the Championship.

No overseas spots left.

| It is excellent news but smacks of desperation, I thought the time was right when he retired and I think this appointment is about his motivational and positivity skills rather than ability, as well as being a fan pacifier.
Will be a cracking atmosphere on Sunday.

I'm sure someone can sort him out a new ID!
Like Jukes and Cunningham, the squad at present seems a little bit light on personaility and the bonus of having characters, it puts bums on seats. While being entertained, fans need a connection with players. Although the majority are new and defeats certainly don't help, the squad overall seems a bit biege.

My first thought was as to whether Mortimer or baptise long term, but a very good motivational signing

I agree.
I guess Mortimer will now be re-designated as a half back, but I don't know how long he is likely to be out for? My concerns, other than the coaching, were leadership on the pitch (now hopefully addressed) and we haven't seen a half back (at least, not on our team!) who can lead us around the pitch - including a good kicking game. If we are down to two half backs for any length of time, there is a huge risk there.

What do you think would happen if KP did well in his interim role as caretaker, i.e. transformed the team, and got good results?

Could be possible if purts can keep Cunningham from calling the shots I agree he should be given a shot and hope he does well but can see us getting someone in and if it’s cunningham I give up

Would be quite happy with purtill because he's severed his time at saints and Huddersfield as well as being the England knights coach so he knows his stuff and with him living in Leigh and playing for Leigh he knows how much it means to the fans for the team to give 100% every week, that's all the fans want because results will take care of themselves if the players give their all and not the rubbish we been given up to now

| As we're speaking of Betfred (and trying to link back to the OP), what odds is Freddy offering on Higham completing 25+ minutes on the pitch? Is he match fit? Has he been running on with leaden "magic sponges" and "heavy water" bottles to keep himself in shape?
Joking aside - is he up to it from the off?
