953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| I have asked this once before. WHY did we allow Wigan TV to show it especially as it was a split gate too. They got a few 4 quids plus half the gate money of about 4000 Leythers.

Over 50 years of pain, pleasure, frustration, joy, heartache and ecstasy that supporting Leigh has given me but I would not swop it.: |
|
| Considering the weather, increased cost to get in and Liverpool v Utd on telly at the same time, the crowd was excellent and I'm sure the management at Leigh will be very pleased. Its irrelevant how Wigan brought as its the number of home fans that will count on 90% of the games this season and over 4000 is a good show.

w!g@n's incredible, world famous, amazing support fails to turn up yet again.
Brilliant turn out from the Leythers though. Especially considering it was a cold, 1st pre-season friendly with all to pay & quite expensive for a friendly (not complaining, would rather pay £10 more for a friendly & have Tonga signed for the season than get in cheap & not sign him). Think we could be looking at ~4,000 as an average attendance this year, fantastic considering it was ~2,000 2 years ago!

I think Demon's point is valid though. Wigan cashed in on 50% of the money paid by about 4,000 Leythers in this instance. I know that's always the case with shared gates, but maybe in future we should tell Wigan they can keep the money from tickets they sell, and we'll keep the proceeds of those we sell.

Alan I totally agree with you as long as Wigan can do the same if they draw one another in the Cup this season at Wigan.

Ah but it would probably have to be switched to Leigh, as the DW probably won't be available!
