| This is what Derek Beaumont had to say about it on FB yesterday:
"2 more to be announced tomorrow and leeds ain't spoke 2 me which they would need to do seen as Sam IS contracted to leigh next year! Maybe they don't like hearing the same answer the clubs interested in Ryan get! BIG FAT NO! People will speculate all day long folks. Its simple really we got the tools to do a job. We are adding to them and certainly won't be selling any that make that job harder to complete. We are not a selling club and although I am aware that a particular club seems to like to go about things in an inappropriate manner talking direct to a player without permission it is a pointless exercise if they don't talk to me, but then again talking to me is a pointless exercise because NOBODY IS FOR SALE! Get it got it good!!!!!!!!!"
Hope that clears up any confusion.

| The interview from a few weeks ago on LC TV says it all, I spoke with Kes again on Saturday and without any prompting his words were 'Im a Leigh Player and happy to be one, the interview in the Manchester Evening news was not written in it's entirety and some of the so called quotes were taken out of context'.
So there you go straight from the 'horses mouth' no rumour or conjecture straight talking from Ryan Brierley.
If his head had been 'turned' then why was he the last player to leave the playing area AGAIN last Sunday, as for 'being out of sorts' he is playing a different game the last couple of matches and in doing so has become more of a try assister/maker than a try scorer, which after all at pivot is his main job, (again not my words but from a very respected Coach).

| As has been said Leigh are a Buying Club , NOT a selling one , personally I don't think Marwan will want Ryan now he has signed Dobson , as for Leigh , I think we will need around 4 Quality signings next season to rise to the next level of play , but it will also mean Goodbye to around 8 players to compensate for the new signings .

| We have an excellent squad of young players, most of whom are clearly destined for SL stardom. I hope most of them will reach that with Leigh, but it's inevitable that they will attract the attention of current SL teams, and some will be tempted to leave. If they do, I wish them well. I have faith in the current BoM to have them tied into contracts that will at least see the club get recompense, unlike in the past.

| I have to chuckle, just for a change instead of 'Ryan is off to Salford' we are discussing, 'Ryan is not off to Salford'.

| Can someone please clarify what going full time means to a player? hours during day, training etc. Its something that confuses me ( doesn't take alot ) surely they can only train for so long in a day?

| I seem to remember it being explained at a LISA meeting as more about recovery time from a game or injury, Part time don't really have the option of proper controlled recovery as most are back to work at the start of the week, that plus a more structured (possibly the wrong word) training/fitness plan.

It means that they don't have to train after maybe 40 hours work at another job. It can't be easy coming home from work and then having to do the hard hours at Leigh.

I gathered that but what else other than training and recovery?

| Usually they have a morning session consisting of re-hab, recovery or weights session followed by lunch prepared to a menu selected by a sports nutritionist. Afternoon session would consist of drills, ball work, prep for the coming game or video sessions then home for 3.00pm or they could cram it all in from early morning starting with breakfast and finishing after they have had lunch. All depends on the coaching timetable.
