Your opinion is not bull Derek. It is important to point out that going all out to win at Leeds places a win against Halifax a week on Wednesday in jeopardy given that it will take so much out of the team and Halifax is a very short turn around.

However I am getting more excited about the Leeds match now and I think it is of equal importance we use this to showcase on the big stage what Leigh Centurions really are all about. To do that we have to simply target win number 17 as tough a task that will obviously be. It is all about 13 v 13 on the day, lets get stuck into them and enjoy it.

Looks like Ablett and Hardaker of Leeds are up before the disciplinary committee this week. Perhaps they might be missing on Friday? Hope we play our strongest squad and go for it (anyone remember the QF win at the Boulevard in 86/87?)

Yes I do, 12-8 victors against all the odds. A brilliant game and I still remember the excitement of the journey home, aware that we were now in the semi final of the Challenge Cup and only 80 minutes away from Wembley.

I don't for minute think Rowley will field a weakened team, I just don't think it's in his nature, nor do I think he should - and can you imagine him telling Ryan, Ridy, Kay, Spencer etc that they can't play on Friday? That would just be too cruel.

We need our strongest team on that field and we need to let our boys test themselves against a top team. If we go there and they put 60 past us, people won't think 'Oh that's only because Leigh put out a weakened team', they'll just think 'Shows how big the gulf between SL and the Championship still is'.
