A couple of glasses of FORTIFIED Acorn juice ,and you will be Smacking Judy with a Ruler , and expecting a much closer game at Fev , seriously i think we will be lucky to get a win , depending on the team .

Bothe opted for early guilty plea.
Verdicts: Smeaton - no further action; Spears 2 matches. I make that Dickens and Spears missing, but that will just give others an opportunity to shine!

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| What is it with this 'early guilty plea'. It would seem when a player is charged with a Grade A offence the recommended sanction is No Further Action - 1 game. If the early guilty plea is made by the player, then they seem to get the lower of the range of sanctions. The same seems to apply to the more serious offences too. If they put in an 'early guilty plea' then they get the lowest number of games recommended under the disciplinary system. Methinks the RFL disciplinary doesn't actually want to be bothered sitting.

It's the serious offences that I take issue with. I believe that a player who is guilty of serious foul play should suffer the full consequences of his actions, especially if an opponent is injured in the incident.
From all (Fev) accounts, Smeaton's was a minor misdemeanour and his previous good record was taken into account - although he's not been playing that long has he? It would appear that Gallagher and Littler's good record was also taken into account, although I think their 'good behaviour has stretched over something like 11 and 16 years respectively!

| You can only use the early plea if you have not been sent off the previous 12 months and (may be wrong here) but I think you can only use it once per season.
It can't be used for repeat offenders. So if like Sam, you've had a good clean record, you stand chance of having that mitigated down when assessed by the tribunal.
If Stu picks up another red card this season, he not can't use that and will have to go throuh the tribunal process in the usual way.
I've no real objection to this. It gives an element of leancy to 'out of character' offences whilst ensuring repeat offenders are appropriately dealt with.
