Defensively sound for an hour. Steve Madens obligatory "lets give the opposition a penalty when I have just got possesion of the ball on the first tackle 5 yards from the line" (what a pr*ck). Attacking wise I didn't see anything that will scare any Championship sides. Chris Hill off with what looked like a dislocated shoulder. Adam Higson wobbled off after a shocking high tackle. No Stanton, replaced by Ridyard (!!) on the wing. All in all nothing much at all to write home about.

You cant play without props, tackling superb, awful ref who killed the game. We move right on attack very well.

If he is out for any length of time we have had it!

Goulden is looking like a great signing. Played his heart out again today. Worked hard all game, made good yards, a few breaks and scored a nice try

Probably just an educated guess knowing who the clown in the middle was.

1st outing for me this season, and see little from that performance that looks any better than last season. Getting the props back will make a massive difference, but the 2nd row give nothing in attack. Fear a top champ team will rip us apart.

Think with our best 17 we can compete, but little strength after that from what I saw today
