Hmmm
2016 - June - 7 game ban then an apology
I remember this disgraceful incident, when Acton shoved a player in the back.
As for the Greg Bird incident. You seem to have conveniently forgotten that cheating/dirty Greg Bird 'smashed' into Ben Reynolds, but got it all wrong, and came off 2nd best.
That's why Acton lifted him up, and told the cheat what he thought of him.
I honestly couldn't care less if he ever plays for us again. But here you all are on your 'self righteous' soap boxes, making out that you hate any kind of 'foul play' on a Rugby field.
Maybe you should all go watching netball instead....

| I wasn't refering to the pushing a player in the back, I was refering to this:
Jamie Acton (Leigh Centurions) pleaded guilty to a charge of Grade D repeated punching against Swinton Lions on May 22nd. He was found guilty and received a four match ban and a £100 fine. Acton also pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of Grade D striking with knee on Zach Johnson of Swinton Lions on May 22nd. He was found guilty and given an additional three match supsension.
What Greg Bird did was also "Out of order", but I couldn't care less about him, All I am interested in is our players and sat in the stands at the business end of the season wont help our cause.
For what it is worth I quite like Acton but getting banned for the last 3 seasons at this important time, how would you like us to be?

Oh, sorry. I'm getting mixed up with all his bans. That Swinton incident was bad, him & Gaz Hock really 'went for it'.

Aggravating Factors
23/06/15 – Striking – Grade B – 2 matches & £100 15/09/15 – Use of Knees – Grade C – 2 matches & £100 07/06/16 – Striking – Grade D – 3 matches & £100 17/08/16 – Other Contrary Behaviour – Grade C – 3 matches & £100 06/03/17 – Dangerous Contact – 0 matches & £300 03/04/17 – Dangerous Contact – Grade A – 1 match & £300 08/05/17 – Dangerous Contact – Grade B – 1 match & £300 12/06/17 – Tripping – Grade B – 1 match & £300 03/07/17 – Other Contrary Behaviour – Grade F – 4 matches £300
Thats 17 + 7 = 24 and also £1900 short on wages.
So when did these happen as posted previous?
2016 - June - 7 game ban then an apology
2017 - July - 9 game ban then 6 months on appeal, then an apology?????

| June 2016 was actually 22/5/16 v Swinton - 4 matches for punching plus 3 for striking with knee = 7
July 2017 was 1/7 17 v Catalans - 9 matches increased to four months on appeal.
Source RFL Disciplinary website, searching Jamie Acton.

Certainly lots of activity there! But those suspensions are there for all to see!

I'm not disputing that Alan, I know them to be fact. What I'm saying is the information given to the MRP which is clearly shown on his charge sheet, source RFL Disciplinary website, doesn't show 7 and 9 match suspensions. The info actually shows him painted in a better light.
Also reading the summary of CM's , which is very thorough.
"The MRP felt that contact had been made by the elbow of Mr Acton to the jaw area of his opponent"
Not a problem with that, fine leave it there. But they don't, they have to throw a spanner in the works with the last line.
"The MRP felt that a Grade E was appropriate, purely due to the fact that the contact with the elbow was not completely flush onto the head of the opponent"
He's either hit him with his elbow or not. They contradict themselves.

| They gave him credit for not quite being on target with his hit.
