I have the same opinion but I think Rowley used him as an excuse to take the Canadian job,without giving him a chance

I did question the wisdom of Leigh signing Chase before the start of the season. I thought that there was a good chance he'd cripple your promotion push with the usual disruption he's seemed to cause Salford.

Chase is one of those players who, if he turns up on the day, will win games by himself. Bradford had a similar player in Sammut. However, if he didn't show up then you were effectively playing with only 12 men on the field all afternoon and the trouble is that sort of player tends to go missing more than they show up

I would be sorry to see him leave as he can be a game changer, as we found out last year at Salford!
We would not have beaten London at LSV without him that's a fact! I thought he played well on his return at Fev and, he was going well against Batley until his injury!
At the beginning of the season we were debating how NJ could incorporate our three halbacks, Brierley, Chase and Ridyard into the team and now, one has left and the other may follow!
I hope with have a replacement lined up, I like Reynolds but he still lacks experience and this is an important season for us! Someone mentioned Travis Burns at Saints as possible replacement personally, I don't know enough about him to comment!

A shame after all the support he was given during his time off this season. Clearly a very troubled bloke and probably better for all concerned to get rid of this problem now while there is time to find a replacement.

A waste of money in the end but it seemed a risk worth taking at the time.

Be interesting to see if anyone else is daft enough to take him on after this.

Still, we are top of the league and he has barely played a part in that so he wont really be 'missed'. Reynolds has been doing a really good job so no need to rush/panic about signing another half.

Neil Jukes has had a hell of an introduction to being a head coach. It has just been one thing after another since he got the job!

I'm not sure how many chances Chase needs. When he left Salford, most fans were not upset and you now see why, even though a lot of you wouldn't accept the honest appraisal of most of the Salford fans making comment. I think deep down a lot of you knew it was a big gamble. Mixed bag for me, as when he's ticking I can say it was a pleasure to watch him play in a Salford shirt, and can win games single-handed. The other side of him, the off-field stuff, the troubled character stuff, the selfish streak. Means that he's a massive gamble for any Club.

I'm genuinely sorry that it didn't work out for him and Leigh, but you may find it a blessing in disguise in the long run.

I now think that Rangi's reputation is so tarnished by his character flaws & off field troubles that he will either be lost to RL altogether or return to Oz to be a bit part player for Woollonga- Woollonga reserves or some such.

I initially thought that his signing was going to be insanity personified but also recognised that he could turn out to be the Messiah who takes Leigh & our fans to the promised land, therefore I was prepared to cut the lad some slack & give him the same support as Gaz Hock & Barlow, two players who have been a revelation at the Club.

So half a season in & just 5 appearances later, with hindsight possibly one of the worst signings we could have made.
Hopefully this will push the LCRLFC into giving BR his big chance & if the Travis Burns deal is on the table then take him too, if only to stop another Middle 8's Club from signing him later.
