Surely it is the right of the home club to determine which day they (normally) play their home fixtures???

Ok I know that there is a clash with Swinton in this instance and someone has to make a decision but which idiot at the RFL decided to have us both playing at home on the same weekend when they were compiling the fixture list??? Surely someone at Red Hall was aware that we both play at the LSV???

Oh and by the way, I think that we as fans need an official statement from our board of directors to re-assure us that they did in fact want to play our game on the Sunday and are not using this as a smokescreen to ensure a free Sunday for whatever reason!!!

Oh and by the by the way all this will no doubt be academic anyway when Premier Sports dangle a huge wad of money in front of us (





) and decide that it will be played on the previous Thursday night

If Leigh and Swinton (and one presumes the problem was with Swinton - perhaps it was Fev not wanting to play on Friday evening, I don't know) couldn't agree dates then surely Leigh could have gone for 6.15pm on Saturday evening (or even a 3PM KO)to maximise support (and build on what was a good gate and good corporate turn out v Toulouse on our last Saturday evening game).
Surely moving the game to 1pm Saturday now means the club lose a lot of much needed finance.

Of course the benefits and problems with twitter are news gets out before a club press release, however time and time again Leigh have been 2nd best at getting information out and for a professional club that must change.
Hopefully Leigh will give a full explanation to the fans and sponsors to ...
- Why we have come out 2nd best v Swinton Lions (or Fev) wishes in our own ground ?
- Why it has taken so long to sort out ?
- Why is it 13:00hrs kick off (and the reasoning behind it) ?

I don't think its unfair to ask those questions as surely a progressive well run club would want its support base to know exactly why a decision has been made, I would imagine our club will release something at some point today.

There are quite a few players at various cricket clubs who watch Leigh......... but not at 1.00pm on a Saturday.

Funny how people are now trying to jump on the club for the time. Oh by the way the RFL decide which kit we play in as well...no they do they really do. Featherstone have become well known in recent years for manipulating the fixtures to suit themselves.

I don't jump on any bandwagons, I am at cricket on Saturday afternoons as I have been for over 50 years, many other people are similarly affected. Obviously people have other things to do on Sundays but I am making a personal point. With your permission of course.

personally 13:00 on a sat is fine with me, but i do agree we need a reason as to why we have had our noses pushed out again, i am presuming swinton are at home on the sunday

Cant see what the problem with Saturday game (granted would have been better 5-6 pm ko)

Saturday must be better day to attract more away fans, with travel and work etc

Top footie games regularly kick off at 12 30pm at weekends.

Some won't be able to make it for various reasons but that applies to any fixture we have even when it is a Sunday at 3pm.

Works perfect for me. Any later than 1pm and I wouldn't have been able to make it
