Don't no why Swinton should get 1st dibs on Sunday ,as it is our ground first and foremost we should get the nod for Sunday surely.

Crazy not to play this game on sunday,if we're neck and neck at the top of the table,this could quite easily be a 3k gate.

Problem is it's not our ground, so it's all down to the contractual arrangements that Leigh and Swinton have with LSV.

So when do we preferably want to play them? Friday night?

Personally I always thought the talk of moving one of the biggest fixtures outside SL to a Friday evening was due to our boards preference with wanting to play games on those days and thats why the switch was being considered rather than Swinton being a bigger player in a stadium built for the community of Leigh.
Think it will lose us money and a potential very good gate if they do but I'm sure the board are aware of that risk.

In terms of Paul, congratulations to him - can't say its undeserved, do agree with comments that people was surprised to see it happen but underlines the faith the board has in him and means everone can focus )whatever the results pan out like) on improvement rather than 'the coach has no long term contract' so its his sole fault.

Yes I know but you would think as we played there first and it is our home ground and only theirs until they find somewhere else that they should be the ones to move their game and not Leigh ,well I would hope so any road .

Can't argue with your sentiments. Personally, I thought we would have been able to play it on Sunday, given our stated preference for that date. Again personally, I believe it will cost us money playing on Friday - I'd rather see it on Saturday, when the Fev fans get a better chance to travel.

So its definitely being moved then and Swinton get to play Sunday ? or is that not sorted either .

I was at a LISA meeting earlier in season were Trevor said he wanted to inconveniance (sp?) someone (thought it was Fev )and make them play us Friday night, at the time I thought but we'll lose money on the attendance from our own fans and Fev fans and I dont think it will make their team perform any worse whether it be Friday night Sat or Sunday. IMHO we should go with whats best for attendance wise, surely!
I was told last season that we had first choice on when we played.

Considering the LSV have the rest of the season to gear up for hosting a triple header in arguably the most important games of the season, maybe they should use this opportunity to host a double header. I'm sure the facilities could host both Leigh & Swinton's requirements on the same day if the clubs were agreeable.

But then would Swinton not take 50% of the gate?

We should play Fev on a Sunday. Do a big promo, get 3k+ on, full of kids and away fans, big atmosphere and show the rest of the RL world the lower divisions still have something to give.
