As the place has yet to be built, would it be worth approaching the management company about the decor??
Rather than it being festooned with generic pub type landscapes, watercolours, dried flowers, horse brasses, etc.....maybe get some Leigh rugby related stuff on the walls - old photos, framed press clippings, framed shirts, etc??

If they want it to be the supporters boozer of choice on match-day, they could do worse!!

Whilst I agree with your sentiments don't think the pub management are going to be swayed from the state of our crowds.
Would not have thought 1600 people every fortnight does not carry that much sway.
Would be good though if Leigh fans did use it before matches instead of scattering round various pubs

Would think most pubs would be happy with the bonus of 1600 people once a fortnight. Not to sure the décor question will have much sway either as the bonus will probably happen regardless of how it looks, but its worth asking, Isn’t Starbug still looking for a home for the HP scoreboard clock?

The Watcher thinks this is a great idea but more importantly so do the highly paid management at Marstons Inns. More employment for our area & another business on the LSV complex, it has to be an all round winner.

Plenty of great ales from the Marstons group: Wychwood, Brakspear, Marstons and of course the excellent range from Ringwood (I've not found a bad pint yet of any of those, although I found Huffkin a bit of an aquired taste.)
We'll probably get Banks and Mansfield though, the worst they make.
Jennings isn't the brewery it was either, but still better than Banks'
