I know we already qualify to apply, I was meaning why should we just leave it open to fev, if we are also winning things on the pitch, when in some other areas we appear better?

Is it a good idea to apply? In life everyone should try to be the best they can, if being the best of the second tier is the best we can be then so be it, but it will take some selling to the Leigh public and especially if we want to grow. It's a case of damned if we do damned if we don't.

Fev qualified last time, but decided not to apply, because 1 ,it was obvious Widnes had been given the nod, 2 if their bid was then to be compared to current SL clubs, they couldn't win

So Fax were convinced by the RFL that their bid would be treated seriously, then it wasn't and a smear campaign was launched against them when they made their feelings public about it

Then you accept being a feeder club and this particular member of the Leigh public has no interest in that what so ever

The RFL just move the goalposts when franchising time comes around otherwise tell me what Quins offer to our game for example.

I do not dislike Quins btw but they will probably move into the Olympic Stadium season after next and no doubt Cas will be playing at Wheldon Rd and Wakefield at Belle Vue.

It is a load of bull and aspiring clubs will never be able to increase support unless the pro game returns to promotion and relegation.

I dont disagree frank, I'd happily take seasonal P and R over anything, 3 year licences dont work for us, far too risky, all IMO of course
