There's a bog difference between being debt free and being well run financially. Hull KR accounts will show that. Big losses but all covered by directors so don't owe money out.

I agree with a few on here this is a fans forum to pretty much asking anything leyth, the answer to ring Leigh centurions could be applied to just about any question on here?

Yes I know what your saying but some "new" or rarely on here members have arose asking questions that unless there is a director or the club accountant on here, very unlikely to find a answer.
If someone wants to know these things the most senisble thing would be to ring the club.

I really dont understand what some posters are trying to achieve by asking questions usually with some sinister insinuation attached , all that does is spread rumour , and damage the club , if you really want to see the accounts of the club , go and find Mr Thomas , or his son and ask to see them , otherwise STFU
If you are that scared of ' risking ' £ 60 to help keep your club alive that you want answers to questions like the ones being asked , you really arent a fan of Leigh Centurions
It is truly pathetic

There are too many rumours going round!
1. Is the club at risk of going into administration/liquidation?
2. Is the club debt free? I thought somebody said the last accounts showed a loss but mostly directors loans?
3. Would the directors want their loans back or be willing to 'rip' them up?
4. Is the problem just our cash flow? If so what is the shortfall? Think somebody mentioned £100k to end of season?
5. What are the other directors/shareholders doing? Are they willing to put money in or have they reached their limit?
6. Would the shareholders/directors be willing to allow an investor to purchase the club for a nominal fee, say £1, on the condition they put in £Xs?
7. Who are currently the directors?
8. Who owns the club?
9. Did Arthur Thomas put his money into the club as personal loans or loans from his companies?
10. Who are the shareholders?
11. Can they pay the players?
12. Can they pay the staff?
13. Has anyone/could anyone start(ed) legal action for unpaid bills?
14. How quickly do they need the money?
15. What does it cost to run the club for a season?'"
What exactly makes you think you have the right to ask these questions ?
Have you financed the club to the tune of over a million pounds in the last 5 years ? |

I think he has the right to ask the questions,its the answers hes got no right to know, unless the individuals or the club give them out.
This is the problem with shouting for transparency all the time,we've got no right to know other peoples finances.

Could you stop being so acerbic? What exactly makes you think you have the right to be so rude to everyone who you don't quite see eye to eye with?
When Maurice suggested sums closer to £600 per year for three years, I felt like I'd want to know the answers to questions like these before agreeing to 'tip in' my own contribution. This seems to me to be a reasonable set of questions which, if answered might open the way to more significant contributions from other fans. |

So asking on a message board for personal financial details of somebody else isn't ' Rude ' ? , but I am for suggesting they don't have the right to ask those questions ?
Fair do's we can all wait for Mr Thomas to release all the information asked for by our ' new ' friend , then in a few years time we can set up a RL club again in the conference and see how long it takes to get into the pro ranks again |
