Thought our forwards carried on as from last week and dominated allowing our backs to lay a good platform.
One thing you get from Basils sides is entertaining RL and we are currently seeing it with Leigh.
We seem to have a good mix of youth and experience and the team is benefiting.
Agree totally with the official MOM, Impossible today to pick one which is really pleasing to see.
One of Ridyards passes today was pure class and worth the admission in itself, you can't teach that and I believe we have a gem in the making.

Thought Hillsys sinbinning was a bit harsh and also thought the same linesman who flagged it dissalowed a try that could possibly have stood, having said that I thought the officials let the game go today with the penalties only really coming near the end and deserve credit, its exactly what a fan wants to see from the match officials.

The interchange from Hill and Bibey to Mills and Nash is about as good as you could get in this league. One bloke shouted behind me "when you have got sick of Mills and Nash we only have Hilly and Bibey to come back on". I'm glad I wasn't defending. Our right hand side is awesome with AJ and Steve Maden. Fast and strong in both attack and defence.

Last season we started at a bit of a gallop, but our play became predictable - anyone who'd watched us could pretty much call what we were gonna do in the opposition 20, and it didn't take canny coaches long to work this out, and how to defend against it, and suss our major defensive frailty, and exploit it!!

Defence so far this season has improved vastly on last, and in attack we are a lot more 'off the cuff'-willing to keep the ball alive, and mix things up a bit near the opposition line. We've become 'unpredictable'......the sort of play the opposition coaches hate - 'cos you can't plan against it!!

Things will become a lot clearer in 3 weeks time when Fev come to town , good innit

Well mate you have been to all our games this season. You have been to Batley and watched Fax.

You have seen our pack play. You have seen how many duals we need. Armstrong will be available I think all season and you are worried about people like me telling it as we see it ?

Ah but you do not have to go on hope this season. We tackle better we can now score from our own half we have cover all over the park. We are good and you know it' as do most who are regular fans' and' even those who will watch us who are not as Leyth daft as most of us on here are will soon see.

I think leigh have a better team than fax and are the team to beat.

I say trust in Basil!! Last season, when the injuries started to bite a bit, you realised the squad was paper thin - with a pack that was heavily reliant on DC's - and not much in the way of a 'plan B' in key areas.

This season, I'd back our pack against any in the division (and one or two in SL!!) - and they aren't gonna get 'chopped and changed' from one week to the next, on the whim of a SL coach!!
Add to that the strength in depth we now enjoy around 6/7/9 and the solid performance of the youngsters we have promoted to the first team this season - and with a similar sized squad of players IM has manged to get the balance about right - with two DC spots to spare......and lets be honest, we'd miss neither Blythe nor Armstrong at the mo' - or last seasons 'talismanic figure', who has played less than five minutes in the last two games and, again, hasn't been missed!!
