Quote Paul HHZ="Paul HHZ"Yes, but it was. So why wasn't it scrapped at this level? Why are some clubs exempt and others not? Why do clubs play to so many different sets of rules? It's farcial.
Imagine a sport where all of it's clubs play by the same rules. Ahh yes, football. The most successful sport in the world.'"
Its not that simple though is it, football is successful for a number of reasons, one of them being that it expanded across the globe and another being that your not likely to be seriously injured playing it. Football is trying to crack the Australian and American market, and guess what, their leagues run on a franchise system and teams are denied entry if the governing body don’t think they will be beneficial to the league. We don’t have the luxury of waiting another 50 years for the game in France and outside of the M62 to grow into a professional outfit naturally, by that time Union will have swallowed up everything in its path. These areas need a shot in the arm.
All the same, good luck in your promotion challenge next season, and who knows the RFL might have a last minute change of heart and only relegate Doncaster.
Quote Paul HHZ="DemonUK"We don't get much from the RFL anymore anyway. All championship clubs should break away, have our own rules etc etc. Where would that leave Toulouse and Gateshead.

They would probably be invited to join Superleague. Good luck securing a lucrative TV contract to broadcast Batley vs Dewsbury every week though.
