| I can't believe this thread.
Mort - is a player with huge potential, playing in one of the few specialist positions left. If positioning is wrong, you will never be good, this can only be gained through game-time. Someone suggested playing Mort on the wing, is he fast enough? The only way Mort will have a chance of getting the experience is through playing first team rugby. Lets remember how Hull KR managed to get promoted and stay up, instead of repeating our past mistakes!!

| I thought Donlan might have been tried at stand off by now... we've had a go with everyone else and he has the skills.

| I agree. If we're not persevering with Ridyard or bringing someone in Marsh is the best option we've got.

| Riddy is being targeted too much, Its bad enough having one pivotal player targeted all the time (Watto) but in his own way and his experience he can handle it, but a green kid likeRiddy can't, so Yorky boy is obviously pulling him from the front line for a bit as he's 'shellshocked' at present. Do some of you actually think on here?

So how does Riddy stop being "green" and gain the gametime experience Watson has?

| I would like to see Donlan have a game at Stand Off, he has a good sidestep, good hands, pacey and is a good defender which, makes me wonder why some don't think he can play Stand Off?
If hes not tried S/O then its Fullback definately. Mort is adequate in that position however, Donlan has Super league experience at F/B and is probably, our only candidate in their respective position for a Super League team!
I also think Ridyard should not be discarded.

| Whilst I firmly believe Stuart is most effective at full-back, he did start his academy career at Leigh, at stand-off.

| I can just see him playing there. He's got good hands, a good rugby brain, a decent step and a fair turn of pace (as he showed at Cas).
I'm very surprised NK hasn't tried him there already if he feels Ridyard isn't quite ready yet.

donlon is our most gifted player so lets see what he can do at stand off.
if it is not working we move him back to no 1.
