Tickle deserves another year... Wouldn't of said same if we stayed up but he's 200% every game and dedicated

Based on last season definitely worth a gig (at the right price), performed very well since he signed for us, does plenty of minutes and puts his body on the line - would be happy with a 12 month contract for him

Certainly give the opposition plenty penalties when tired

If I'm honest I don't think he was brought in to do the job he did, when signed, and certainly for the SL, I only saw him as a squad player.
He ended up playing in a lot of games and doing plenty of minutes, and that possibly shows in your comments

Winds me up when people come on with there negative comments about individuals (you missed the bit about him being top tackler), suspensions and injuries hit us hard in his area - he gave a lot more to the team than a majority of other forwards, and for me he deserves a lot of credit for that

I agree with your main points but individual errors should be 2 or less he was a five a game man and this needs to be addressed next season I'm my opinion,

Exactly, Tickle was meant to be a squad player, bringing experience and professionalism (always in at 7am, eats healthily, trains hard etc.) He did a good job, until he started to have to play far too many minutes and his age just simply caught up with him, tired in games and started to give away penalties/ball drops etc.

In the Championship he'll be an excellent player, hopefully the likes of Richards/Acton learn something from him and take their chances.

Game a lot slower in championship defences not as quick off the mark fitness levels not same as full time I think he will go well

There are always comings and goings season to season but success is built on a continuity also. So bit concerned about the departure of players that got us oromote last time and could do it again would been good to keep a core of these. Hopefully some good retention confirmed soon, would like to keep Ridy, McNally, Hampshire, Higson, would have liked to have kept Hoppy too, bet he us playing SL next year unlike us! On plus side some great new signings so far can we find a couple more to add?

He will do in most games it's when the big boys come to play we will be in the same position

He made mistakes when tired, as all forwards do. The problem was that there were other forwards 7 years his junior that were blowing out of their backsides after 15 mins, which meant his workload was increased.

Acton was our only prop who could play a spell longer than 20 mins without losing effectiveness. That's why we missed him so much in the 8s.
