Quote: Chancellor Palpatine "I thought anyone can get a copy of a companies accounts from companies house with a small payment.'"

Only pages one to nine as far as I'm aware though.

The management accounts are far more interesting as they detail were the monies indicated in actual accounts are going.

You are correct, but how many fans would read / fully understand the full accounts

Quote: Chancellor Palpatine "I don't believe by threatening Wigan council with going public over the deal would help. They don't just have to think of the 1500 leigh fans they have to think of the 50,000 people in leigh + the 200,000 (guess) people in Wigan who don't give a stuff if leigh rugby ceases to exist.

Agree re moving corporate to park inn, however probably not as good as sponsors have to walk from hotel to stadium (in rain) and sit outside then walk back (in rain) at full time. Blokes probably not too bothered but wags if wearing heels wouldn't be too impressed

Buying a pubis another good idea however were would the money come from or who would guarantee the overdraft'"

Threatening is the wrong word it's aggressive negotiations that are required when the time is right.

Like Keith says above its buisness when all is said on done we need to be assertive and at least have contingency plans in place to relocate should LSV not be willing renegotiate when we do step up to the plate with them at some stage.

Understood.

This is why it's important in any new direction the fans have faith in the people who represent them on BOD. Equally if you want to be/are sat at the top table as a director the fans need to know you are bringing something subsantial to the party both financially professionally.

In a transparent new structure investors weather they buy a match ticket, lottery ticket, pay into LISA or TDC or do all those plus invest 20 quid or 20k over and above would all be a vital component in a well oiled machine if I had my way with a clear pathway to progress through the structure and a feeling of belonging at each step of the ladder they chose to be on.

It's definitely business & the lsv must accept that. The club must get the best possible deal. However, what are the real alternatives for relocation?

I don't doubt that many leigh fans run sucessful businesses. I think it is probably detogatory to say that plenty have more business sense than our lot put together.

You've done a great job in generating enthusiasm amongst the supporters. Probably the more difficult task is to keep the momentum & transform your ideas into reality. I look forward to seeing the vision coming to fruition.

Quote: mr. chairman "Yes your right and I apologise , but they don't have a good track record do they . Sport is a different Buisness that needs special skills . Marketing is one area that covers both yet we fail in this sector . Why'"

They haven't done too bad really, but I definitely agree that sport is a different business. Marketing is of paramount importance. As Maurice once said 'the club need to have pride in the badge (town crest) & engage with the business community'

Well Hilton Park was built by Leigh Fans.

Being gym trained myself I would be up for it but judging from looking round the North Stand at our home games I think it would be best if we stayed at the LSV.

It is a similar prob at Fev. They had bought 2 stands from Scarborough FC to install at Post Office Rd but they can't install them because Fev folk are unable to help because there's not enough of them and they would prefer to stay in the pub. icon_wink.gif
