You even seem to forget Fev came below Leigh in the League placings 2019, but Leeds reserves helped out in the play offs when others were depleted. So Leigh finished above Fev in 2019 and would have rattled 50 past em in 2020.
Team building is well under way, even to those who dont want to see it. We are building a formidable team for the Championship or a competitive team for SL - whichever call we get. Stone, Whitbread and Tomkins is the bones of a great pack. Mellor will run the show and hopefully we keep Bell(if off quota) and Brierley. Can see Eaves on a full season here next year and 1-2 Aussie centres, as the UK have none of quality available.

Wigan have signed 2 for next season, Wakey have signed our Captain & stand out Hooker Liam Hood & want our stand out Prop, Salford have signed 2. Huddersfield took 2 of ours including an Ex NRL/SOO prop & shafted us, we got 1 of the 2 agreed in return ..... thanks Honest Ken !

In truth we are about 75% Championship & 25% Super League on squad levels.

As far as I'm concerned they are Championship grade apart from 1 or 2 and they are just mediocre SL players. They've just gone over to France for a Bank Holiday. DB puts his money in and this is how they repay him. They are just whiling away the days to the end of the season before they
move on to their new clubs. This is how it is always going to be as the RFL have deemed most clubs cannot have an Academy team. The RFL have killed the game for the majority of clubs. All we can ever expect playing for Leigh are journeymen as we aren't allowed by the RFL to grow our own talent, and it is home-grown talent who will bust a gut and play with pride for their hometown team. This lot won't. Rugby League is in a sad state of affairs and it's god help them when SKY pull the plug in 2 years time. All we can do is stay solvent for that day.

So Bell gone the player drain continues. When will it stop? Do we have any recruitment plans for 2022. We have known we are relegated for weeks the model to bounce back is keep the team together as much as possible! Appreciate the players will take SL contracts but no comms about if we offered them contracts or more retentions. Are the Aussies staying what about Junior Sau, Hellewell, Ellis, Thompson, Ioane.. etc!

Personally Leyther , I would let all the above you mention go , along with Flower , Wallace , McCarthey,even Spencer , we must have a clear out to move forward , apparently Mason , Wildie , Thorniley ,Brierley,Gee,have already signed for other Clubs and. Rand is only on loan .

Not like you to talk sense Charles young man. It was a team to win the championship with some mid season additions. I would have tried to keep Bell and Ioane who were tough and honest, but we have 5 quota spots so I feel we will be looking at Stand off, Centre and prop positions

Can’t disagree with this but starting from scratch doesn’t normally equate to a top finish in champ as you can’t afford to loose to many games. Suppose it is where we are at. Be good to see some communications about recruitment as feels like time is ticking for next seasons already.

Thank you Mo ,must be the Owl soup I’ve been having for Breakfast .I just think we must put aside sentiment make a few harsh decisions , and say farewell to a lot of the squad , in clouding the Coach , and maybe some Coaching Staff.
Next season will again be difficult , either Toulouse or Fev will again challenge , and we must be ready to spend a few quid , I’m not sure if Marwan is joining us , but Derek is a must to Stay , let’s get behind the Club ,and go for gold .

I think when the season ends some announcements will be made , as to who we let go and who we keep , I also hope Derek decides against this Law suit , and concentrates on employing an experienced man who will appoint his own coaching staff and sign players he wants , as you say someClubs are already signing players , I think we will as well .
