That was nip and tuck

Didn't deserve to win, but we did.

Well we've deserved to win previously and blown it so evens itself out - bit worried about our defence, seemed to sort itself out when KP took over

Happy to get the win, it didn't look likely on a few occasions this afternoon. But it is frustrating watching us make the same mistakes game after game. We got pasted around the ruck by the speed of Johnston (7) and Moore (14) for most of the game, it was embarrassing. The number of penalties we give away at the PTB also needs sorting out. Jamie improved as the game wore on but once again he made a handling error at the PTB that put us under early pressure.
Credit to the players for turning it around, especially at 6-18 down, but switching off again at 30-18 up nearly cost us dearly.
The leaders need to step in more and control the game. It is not obvious that this is happening and instead we switch off mentally and let in unexpected quick tries.
Improvements will be needed to have any chance of beating Toulouse and Toronto.

The main positive for me is they hung on for the win, we could have crumbled at 18 - 6 and again at 30 - 30. but they didn't - good effort

Credit to Fax they didnt give in either - made for a nervous second half

Well done on your win. Not sure whether to be gutted that we lost, or happy that we mixed it with you 50-50 and just lost out by the one score. Fax have struggled all season putting two 40 minutes together without a string of dropped balls and/or penalties to scupper us at some point in the game. I thought we did pretty much manage a full 80 minute performance today, with just a couple of brain-f@rt moments costing us together with your last try hitting us when our gas tank had hit zero. Hope you make the M8's, but if we can play anything like today through to the end of the season we should be in there with you.

Just wanted to say how nice it is to attend such a crucial game and be able to have a bit of banter between the fans before and after the game without any hint of animosity. What made me chuckle was the stewards in front of us muscling up at the end of the game as if we were planning a pitch invasion or something! A great advert for the game today, and I thought the Fax faithful did their bit in the South Stand to help make it so (I would say that though, I was there, and pretty ho this evening!).

If we play like that next week at Toulouse they will get 50 (they already average 38 per game). The only plus point is that the match is at a sort of nuetral venue 30 miles away.

I think you maybe discredit the Fax performance today. You can beat Toulouse, but I have to hope from a Fax perspective that you don't. 32 points looking like the magic number for the top 4 this year, so you should be able to have one loss and still make it. Fax with their draw and odd number of points at the moment could possibly factor in the equation if we can get to 31 points (two more losses).

Any which way, an exciting and interesting end to the season.

Looking at the remaining fixtures for all the top 6, today was a vital win for us. I do however think Fax may turn over London and/or Fev so lots for them to play for still. This is going to be a heck of a run in.
