| 2 games without a try conceded. Brilliant! Get the defence right and the attack will take care of itself.
We can make the top 4. Others will start to fall by the wayside and we will improve.Well done Leythers!!

| Huge game for Easter Monday now.. Beat us and you are in a good position to make top 4 (assuming you can win away games at Tolouse, toronto and Fev), and win at Blackpool. Lose to us, and you are out.....
Going to be a real cracker, could be game of the season

| Quote: atomic "Massive improvement, Hutchy needs a try, he's just trying to hard. Hansen warmed up with the backs, nice to see some new ideas.
Mata'utia was just class, good team spirit and passion.
A couple of bad calls from the TJ which left Mr Hewer looking a little silly at times but overall he had quite a good game.
Swinton next.'"
This is the best news of all. Any team that can work through tough times and come out as predominately the same group with a fighting spirit can sometimes be the hardest team to play against. Out of adversity and all that !
Huge task now but maybe we can squeak into the 8s. IF we do (big if I know) we will have gone almost unbeaten from here forward and enter the 8s as a force.

| As already stated, London is huge.
Keep sammut quiet, the rest should be history. Win that, and it could be the boost we need with 3 very winnable games after that !

You should really be considering your visit of Toulouse. Ours will be Swinton.

We are, Friday and Monday are piviotal to our season. Win both and we 80% there to get into top 4, and looking good top 2, win one and lose one, we still ok and in good shape.. lose both and then we have fax away (not easy), and in the space of 2 weeks (especially if you win 3 in a row), you could be right behind us in the middle of April..
Focus is very much Tolouse at the moment, good news is we rested Sammut last week and still scored 64 points away from Home, so we do have strength in our 6,7 and 9 positions with some really talented youngsters stepping up to the mark... Just have to hope we can keep hold of them.

No idea why they don't make KP full time coach right now , hes got the experience been around for donkeys years , never had a chance at first team coaching , seriously who could be better ? we could certainly do a lot worse . Lets give him a chance he could be one of the future great coaches and it will give us some stability in the short term.

Given DB's recent comments about how Jukes had never been assistant to a Super League coach, you have to wonder why he wasn't given the job last season. By that reckoning he was the most qualified out of the raft of coaches at the club.

Facing facts we are a club in decline owned by someone with a big ego , we are about as unattractive as you can get for big named coaches , it would absolutely decimate there careers and even if the could get the backing of DB and get him to invest , unless there was overnight success then its just not a job worth having , lots of risk and not much reward . We need someone who can get the best out of the players we have whilst trying to rebuild , get some stability now , rebuild as quickly as possible and get KP in position , if he isnt up to it by the end of the season then we aren't in any worse position we are right now considering no big names are going to come.

I'm not quite sure you understand the possible situation that could unfold. For one there wouldn't be a team left, well not the one you want to build on.

Whats the alternative ? attract a big name coach , more than likely fail and have a slightly larger debt ? I can definitely think of more big named coaches that have gone on to fail at new clubs than ones that have gone on to succeed , they have only become big names because they where in a position like KP is now and given a chance to succeed
Think of Millward (wigan)
Noble (Wigan)
Monie 2nd spell
Tony Smith (Wire)
(many Saints Coaches)
The ones that mainly succeeded where ones who didn't have a big name rep to start with , like Noble at Bradford , Milward at Saints, Brian Smith , Brian mclellan, Wane . KP could quite easily go on to be one of these , you don't see many who go on to be successful at future clubs , its more about getting in at the right time , buy in from players , camradery , being involved with the whole setup , lack of ego and having the respect of the players . I cant see any reason you would pick a big name over KP , its no guarantee that it will bring results , bring in Wayne Bennet and there is no guarantee.

Indeed, when I have watched Sammut play v Leigh over the years, he doesn't do that much. There is a reason why he has not played in the Super league since 2014.

There isn't an alternative. DB has placed his final chips. Top 4 will have to be gained with whats in place. But your point was building on the current squad using KP. My point was there won't be the existing squad left, if they don't make top 4.
If DB is not prepared to plug the gap, a new coach isn't priority. Is it?
