The point being is the overseas quota isn't full if Burr is exempt. Unless someone else takes a quota spot up such as Vea.

Doesn't really matter, you can still only have 7 (or 8 including Burr this year) players that didn't play in Northern hemisphere between 16-21.

So far we have Paterson, Drinkwater, Stewart, Brown, Vea, Mortimer, Langi and Burr as our allowed overseas non-fed players.

One will have to make way for Goodwin. If Burr's exemption is only for initial 12 months, then someone else will also have to make way.

I suspect there will be one or two departures, but that's a discussion for when the season ends...

Stewart has been a let down for the majority of his time with us. So for me it's got to be him

Two have already made way- Weston and Tonga. Mortimer and Goodwin their contracted replacements for next season. If we keep Burr (no exemption for next year as I understand it) and Langi 2 of the others will have to go

I can't see DB paying two contracts off which would still count on the cap.

Well that's my thoughts TBH, difficult dilemma- leave it to the experts to sort. Must spin their heads to be honest, SL survival the priority the target - then work on growing from there

Not really sure how difficult a dilemma it is.. They have Goodwin and Evans signed up,Burr and Langi are in the shop window..

The dilemma being, do the club want to sign either or both for next season - and if so how do they go about it. Unless they don't want any of em I don't see a simple solution, unless current quota players "retire" for example

The plan must have been none of them,or they wouldn't have signed Goodwin. Take nothing away from Langi he's been brought in to do a short term job and doing the business very well. But like it or not that spot is Goodwin's.

In my eyes the clubs plan is correct if Burr and Langi leave. Quota spots are full and it's time to start adding some British resources to back those spots up.

Unfortunately, British resources are pretty sp.

Well if they can pay top dollar for the likes of Stewart and tempt him here,I'm pretty sure they can tempt anyone.
