Perfect game for us in preparation for Super League, we need to be playing against the best possibe oppositon week in week out, perfect chance make a couple of tweeks from the last time we played them and see how we fare. Speaking to the players after our last few friendlies pre season they were saying how much they hated the games, they learn nothing from them, we need to be pushed as far as we can as often as we can.

Also as weird as it sounds, I think we need to be reminded of what it feels like to lose before these Super 8's.

I can not see the London dual and loan players in this game.

Well one of the hardest draws we could have had but we beat them fairly convincingly only the other week, (hopefully) shouldn't be a problem. Very glad it's not away at London though, that'd have been the worst possible draw.

Good draw for Miners too, the top amateur team left in at home against the lowest professional team left in, if there's going to be an upset that could well be it.

i reckon some fringe players will get a game. Will be good to see Reynolds get a run out, while Platt can consider himself unlucky not to be playing.

Any players carrying slight knocks shouldn't be risked, plus I reckon Wilkes and Emmett have earned a week off.

Yep, I'd stick fringe players in too - and especially so if injuries at Donny are as bad as reported.

It would be great to have a cup run but league matches will surely take priority.

What date's the game? Gonna try and get up for it ....

I'm sure we will play strongest team possible, this is a difficult game, we can play so called fringe players against Hunslet, Workington, Whitehaven, no disrespect intended

They're a top team in our League London, if we don't show them utmost respect they'll beat us. Promotion is essential but a week off pre- Super 8s split & points being wiped I don't think will do a great deal of good to many players.

But if it was a league game, you'd be more likely to play people with slight knocks than you would for the cup game. Which is why I think it's likely that some fringe players will get a game. But only Platt, Reynolds and Walker.
