I'm about as sure as i can possibly be that the overseas player is Moi Moi but won't believe it until I actually see it, would be absolutely class for us. It was him that got in touch with us around the time we had that game at Leigh Rugby Union, deal was 99% done that week. Think word must've got out and a a few Super League clubs showed interest, Koukash stated at one of their fans nights he'd looked at him but couldn't fit him in. So think it all stalled for a bit but now looks to be back on, think the fee has gone up about 10k from what he first wanted but that guy will put bums on seats next year IF it is him.

Don't see Crabtree being our signing as I believe the two super league players are "young" at least that is what we were told. No disrespect to mr Crabtree but I don't think he would be classed as young.

No disrespect to Fuifui MoiMoi but he is 35 now. If he did come to Leigh he'd take the money play a couple of good games and then fade away. We had this when we were promoted to SL. Players just here for the money and an easy ride. No thank you Mr. MoiMoi.

Experienced halfbacks and fast wingers we have the two best halfbacks at Leigh for years and two brilliant hard has nails wingers who can both shift both have dcored a panful of trys we also have Jonny Pownall who rarely lets us down plus young Cameron Pitman yes we may need another halfback to cover injury but young Foster in the reserves is a outstanding prospect i think its being disrespectful saying we need halfbacks and a fast winger when we currently have brilliant

MoMoi would come to Leigh and take the money and play when he wanted to. I've seen it again and again at Leigh. You need players who are hungry. Remember Tony Iro playing for Leigh - what a waste of space - Remember the journeymen players signed up for Leigh in SL - what a waste of time.
What happens when Riddy gets injured? What happens when Brierley leaves as he has so often stated that he wants to? If you have aspirations for SL then you need experienced halfbacks in depth to get you there. Yes, we do need a fast winger. Our wingers are excellent but they aren't speedsters. You need strength in depth in all areas if you want to be the best. Plus we need one more experienced forward.
I'd go for Garreth Hock - if you can sort his discipline out. Imagine Hock and Hopkins in the 2nd row. Leigh would tear teams apart with those two. Where you get your experienced halfbacks and winger from I don't know.

So when we are in this league of 8, as we will be, and Ridyard maybe injured and Brierley may have left, you would chuck an inexperienced halfback in against SL halfbacks? Glad you aren't part of the coaching team. I'm quite sure Rowley will be looking for halfbacks and a winger and one more experienced forward.
