Has Derek stepped in to help short term pay the players wages and then kind of got caught in the emotion of it all and decided to return to try and keep the club going as a new owner with a new BoD / CEO coming soon etc, etc or has Derek decided to join the current BoD and CEO at the club in a attempt to bring in some finance and move the club forward ?

That isnt clear yet, and it will be interesting to see what happens next and if he is intending to take control, then how that could happen and work and who he would be working with

Then what path he would want to take the club down, last time Dereck and Steve Blakely financed the path to SL, things arent that simple anymore

SL is way off for Leigh. Way off. Take down that daft BeLEIGHve flag and start again, with baby steps. And before you all start chucking your pegs at me, the same applies to Halifax. Get a serious backer, get some fans and then start looking at SL. Featherstone are making the biggest strides in this department but do you think they're a SL club? At best they'd match Castleford's experience if not their calamitous gaffes.

Meeting between SL clubs and the RFL on Wednesday. Licensing is DEFINITELY dead. What replaces it? Who knows but the fact that Championship chairmen aren't invited to the meeting is not good.
