but the question does apply, how can swinton afford those type of players if we struggle on 2.5k crowds

Swinton have been promoted, they will be linked to everyone at present.
I understand they may be moving back into Swinton in the next couple of years, 6/7000 new ground. If so then that attracts local interest and money, remember the £ goes a long way if spent wisely and 6/7 local folk putting a couple of grand a month in creates a full cap to spend when topping up other income.

5,000 capacity stadium, costing £3.5m, due to start work on it in early January 2012, expecting to have it complete before the end of April 2012?!
Still can't understand how they've been able to afford this year's squad though?!? |
